6600 GPRS after unlock problems

hi. i have a 6600 and it was locked to vodafone. gprs worked fine before on vodafone.

when i unlocked it the guy said i need to change the gprs settings for orange. (i've switched to orange).

i went to eh orange website and got the settings sent to the phone and saved them but internet doesnt; work. says it can't connect.

is there any lock that vodafone put so other sim cards can't use GPRS?
