Hey all,
Where is COMTRAK these days?havent seen much of him during past week, in fact, after posting breaking news about Waridtel he is out of the scene and sight of all of us!!
Comtrak, if u read this, then plz reply and let me know the status of the new technology being adopted by Waridtel as u told us earlier.

Yesterday, i bought a brandnew K750i from MZ. its indeed a gr8 set and anybody wana upgrade his set must consider it.

Hi every one. The sets i personally bought and used are nokia3310 ,samsung x600, nokia6610i , now nokia 6600. But there are many sets that i tried on exchange basis for few days with my friends lol. @sibtainali, plz tell me how is the performance of SP3? have u used SP3i? is it worth to go for SP3i? having considered that u have used SE T630, how would u compare the user interface of imate with SE? coz i am using SE for a while now and liking it, its very user friendly and they are making it more as they are releasing new models.
I have this habit of buying the sets when they are released (cant control myself, lolz) thats y i make lot of loss when i go to dispose them off!! except for 6310 i bought all sets when they were lauched in Pakistan. plz share with us your experience and practice!!!

SE7 SP3 and SP3i are same except windows media player.... SP3=windows media player9...and SP3i=windows media player10........(as per my knowledge).....you can check their specifications on NET. and the user interface of imate is little bit difficult but not a big problem... but the best thing is that it's very very light and very very good battery timing....but one thing purchase with full accessories....OR pin pack.....and one thing more
it's a unique set in pakistani market that make me proud when i use it, even in ISLAMABAD.....

@Comtrak, buddy again u are mistaken for sure,as 3.5 MHZ cant be the data transfer speed, the reason is MHZ stands for mega hertz, and MHZ represents the frequency not data speed!!
Now u got me finally??? data speed is based in bits or bytes per second can be megabit per second or anything, can never ever be represented in MHZ!!!
I hope others will agree to my point.

Hi guys. Seems mobile companies have no plans in near future to reduce the call rates more or announce some new packages. Paktel is increasing its rates. Prepaid paktel blue which had 0.99 rupee rate after 12 is no more available. Now paktel white has come which is 3.75 flat 24 hours. On paktel post paid late night option LNO is not available any more. So whats going on i do not know. Why govt of pakistan give one two licences every time. Why they not just fix some licence fee so as many companies want to operate pay that fee and start there net work. These present companies want to squeeze every penny out of us. In india 100 to 250 rupees unlimited gprs is available. Also heard that call rates on some companies are as low as 40 pasa per minute. But not sure about call rate . Regards. Umer

Umer,rates reduction is in pipeline for mobilink,telenor,and warid. Their relaunch is only 2 months away thats what i was told so i m sharing with u.i dont have any further details about tariffs

hi guys. some time ago i was signed on agile messenger. it is working ok. i have not listened from any where that its going to be not free. from where you listen this news. i think nothing such things is on the agile messenger site www.agilemobile.com also.
but if some such thing is happening

Umerhayat, my friends downloaded new messenger for 6680, 7650, and 6600 and after downloading and installing the agile they got the message that its 7 days trial version so you have to purchase it after this trial and you have to pay 2$ for registering the agile(they told me). and they also told me that you will not find any thing on website about this money shi..

Hope warid soon fix the signal problem thing that we discussed already in this forum as i am still facing it and also stop charging us 50 rupees per month for the gprs activation and also make packet size charges different as they are this time 3 rupees per 200kb which make it too much expensive after micro calculations. So that we use there service as my sim is idle after the few days use and some times i check it but when problems specially signal problem is there i put it out again. Regards. Umer

@umerhayat, a friend of mine also had the same signal problem which u have faced, in this regard a salesman from warid visited him and told that the problem has been fixed atleast in islamabad. Earlier that same person said that engineering department of warid will fix it latest by monday. when he checked the warid's sim, it was working alright and was also able to detect other mobile networks' signals also.
But waridsales man told us that this problem is only with SE handsets and 2-3 models of nokia only, rest are working fine with warid's SIM! can u confirm this? if any of ur friends or relatives are having this problem then let us know about it, i wana verify his views (warid's saleman's)

Problem is a part in the way of perfection. every1 and everything have problem lests c when yr prob get done well i was a bit busy @ my job so i didnt reply to u all.... about warid's GPRS thing i also agree they should wave out the 50RS per month but as u also know they r charging less 4 sms and the international zone 1 so they ahve the right to cover it up a bit i think..

@Radarblip. Warid validity is one year. Telenor validity is up till 2010. Paktel validity increase for 60 day from the time of last out going call. So all three are doing good in this field. But telenor is winner@ Se7. Yes it seems that the problem of signal may be with some sets and not with other sets. But this time i can not confirm it as people are not buying warid. But i try to check it on some other sets and then tell you my observations. @Se7. Yes telenor launch was success because after long time one more company was coming and we were excited. There service is also good. But they need to give off peak rates and low on net work rates or this company will be doomed soon. As i am back to u phone because of off peak u to u after 10 and 3 rupee call at day time to u and ptcl so this time it seems best for me. Regards. Umer

@SE7. Last night. I try warid. When i insert the sim and turn on my phone then the signal was there, as it happens on other networks, means i did not had to dial the 321 again and again and try to some manual search or some thing. So seems that now warid has solved the signal problem. At least on 6600 it was ok last time. But i will not use their sim until they cut off the 50 rupees for gprs per month and also reduce the data packet size rate or give some flat package of gprs rate. Lol lol. May be give free gprs. Salam Umerhayat i dont think that warid will give flat rates for gprs. if they do so i will change my service provides from UFONE to warid. Telenor is coming to Abbottabad before 20th july 2005 (as per my knowledge) and they will install more than 300 boasters from HassanAbdal to Abbottabad (dont know thats true or ....) Umer, what do u think is better of the two, i.e. telenor and warid?? coz i am in a fix now, i am using post-paid package of telenor but its rates are more than what warid is charging. I also would like to add here that i dont travel much, therefore, coverage is not a problem for me, i just need signals in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, so less coverage of telenor is not a problem for me.

Salam @SE7 if you are a heavy user of gprs then you should stick with Telenor, or if you only use phone, sms and mms then Warid is good for you. Thanks radarblip609 for informing me about Telenors add in news paper. God bless you all.

@SE7. Call rates of TELENOR are highest this time among three and gprs rates also same as ufone. On the other hand Warid voice is also very clear. But gprs rates high. Call rates are best this time but call rates real advantage can only be taken if your contacts are also using warid. Ufone voice quality on third place among the three. Gprs rates ok and if your contacts are on ptcl and ufone then its ok for you. I mean you have not to call much people or any people on other mobile net works especially on the mobilink as it has very huge number of users then you can use ufone. So its all very complex situation. No company launching some thing that perfectly suit us. All have one good thing and other bad thing. @sibtainali. Man as mobilink giving the fix gprs package although to post paid users only so i thought may be others also launch some thing like it. At end i will like to say one think about PAKTel its voice sucks. It has no gprs. So it completely sucks. Regards. Umer

A guy who work in mobile market was telling me that sonyericsson not getting popularity in the pakistan because it do not work good with the mobilink. When we use sony ericsson sets with mobilink then there is lot of call drop and low signal and other such kind of problem. But thats what he says i am not sure about it. Hope others also share their observation especially people using sonyericsson with the mobilink. Regards . Umer

Salamz i think tht moblink works fine with SE when i used it with K508i and K700i... And i dont know abt the guy who told u but i read the reviews 60% of Nokia sale(Pakistan) is captured by SE as v all know its cheap and have everything... yr thoughts...?????

The reason that mobilink has problem is coz mobilink's own signals r very weak.however i m using different sets of SE for more than 2years without any prob with more than one year i used on jazz!

Hi friends. I am hit by a strange problem. Donot know if any one else facing it or not. When i use the ufone gprs then i am unable to open the esato. Browser keep on trying and trying and then message comes applicaton time out and esato do not open. Other sites i browse are ok and also agile messenger working ok. So i thought may be esato was down for update or some thing. But then i try telenor gprs and esato is open. Then i delete old ufone settings and down load again those settings and tried again but again same result. So i am shocked i tried every possible thing in my knowledge wasted about one hour on this matter but to no avail. Now i insert the telenor sim again using its gprs and posting here. Hope if some one can guess where problem is or facing same problem then inform me soon. Hope i find solution for it soon. @SE7 and @COMTRACK. Keep it cool my friends. we are all friends and we are just discussing things. Regards. Umer

umerhayat there definitely is some relation between what service provider you are on and some of the websites not opening.
I do not have experience of ufone but in my case when I am on Mobilink GPRS, I cannot open Hotmail. However when I install the Warid or Telenor SIM's I can easily browse Hotmail.
Although I have provided no solution to Umerhayat's problem but I thought to share a similar problem.
By the way I am on a I-Mate using the NetFront 3.2 internet browser.

Hi guys. Last day in news papers i saw that warid looking for the franchise partners in many cities about 30 or more cities i think. So any one know when they will launch in those cities as my city daska is also in that list. @SRMZ . Yes man although not solved my problem but at least you also recognised and confirmed the problem. On ufone esato was always working ok. But now not working for me for some days. May be some problem in ufone network or may be some problem in my settings that i am unable to solve. umerhayat...man i used my handheld device and the result was same like yours...thats connecting and connecting and conn.............and in last i got this "GATWAY TIME OUT".... so the problem is in UFONE..i think so....last night i talked to UFONE customer care center they said.... restart your device...and i toled him that i did it before talking to him.....he said: but we dont have any problem....UFONE SUCKs....

Hi. Yes thats right. The problem is with ufone gprs. They upgraded .But this is the first upgrade that i saw in my life in which service started sucking. So now ufone which had the most reliable gprs also sucks. This upgrade sucks and they do not admit their fault. Their helpline people are so dumb that i never saw so much uninformed and dumb persons any where on earth. Regards. Umer
