Hi All
I'm getting really frustrated now so i thought maybe you guys can give me some advice.
Beginning of the month, I ordered the K750i on the O2 (UK) website, I called O2 2 weeks after to find out that they cancelled my order because they were sent back. After that I searched on the net and found this thread - which eased my mind, at least I knew the story. Anyway, I reordered it last weekend and I called O2 earlier this morning - they again cancelled my ordered because it won't be available 'til July 04 (which you all know). Now your advice - should I reorder again on the 4th of July or maybe wait 'til W800i is released here in the UK? August? I have been waiting all these weeks for the K750i that maybe I should just wait for the W800i? Another option is maybe to order K750i from, let's say, The Link and then update the firmware when a new one does get released? Ok, enough of my ranting...

I'm having BT issues again, the BT connection will be lost whenever I'm in a conversation, and it'll only reconnect after the call has ended.
I've experienced this when the K750i is paired with either the HBH-200 or HBH-660.
And I'm on R1J firmware.
Anyone else having this problem?

I've experienced one or two bluetooth drops when restoring sms with FMA, it seemed to happen after a certain amont of time, almost like the connection was timing out.

still with the R1J and having the gprs problems with o2, hopefully the update becomes avaliable on SEUS soon. however, anyone got any idea how to access my mms - problem is, theyve partially come through on my phone, but the phone attempts to download the content and obviously its not going to be get far ...
-tried swapping the sim to an old t630, but of course the message content is on my k750i so its unable to download the content
-upgrading using da vinci will wipe my phone memory?
-cant import/export mms on fma?
-anyway to access them on o2's website?
so yeah, anyone got any ideas?

I hope the next version will disable the noise lines that show on camera pics when in dark places,it's better to have normal noises because we can correct them with paint shop pro

Help !!!
After finally recving my K750 from O2, I find that they not only have they branded it with their usual nonsense but they've also left the software version on R1A - despite making me wait 3 weeks for the damn software upgrade.
Anyways, Ive flashed it to R1L using Da Vinci & it seems to be reasonably more responsive + stable.
There are a few problems (like BT issues) but the most annoying are :
1. Speaker volume way too low - during a conversation + playback of audio files.
2. MAJOR ANNOYANCE !!!! is that the ringtones never ever playback the same as when played thru the music player or via file manager. It sounds more tinny and lacking the bass.
I was thinking abt downgrading to R1J - but am concerned abt GPRS issues. Is that problem only limited to O2 or any network ?
If there is anyone (Sebby, Masseur- take a crack pls) that can help me sort out the above or even let me know if they have the same problem - I would be gratefull.
Tks.

I'm confused. My first K750 from O2 was week 19 delivered 6th June with R1A. Pretty stable (ish). Flashed to R1J - lost GPRS. Waited for R1??? - whilst also ordering replacement handset. SE havent delivered, O2 delivered replacement (Week 20) handset with R1A 25th June. Phone crashes.
So my query. Should I keep the pretty stable handset (week 19) with R1J but no GPRS or keep the week 20 handset (R1A) which is reasonably stable, crashes but at least has GPRS - OR return both and order replacement handset!!!
Another option would be to keep the more stable (week 19) handset and use Da Vinci to flash to R1L to get back GPRS. But is it worth it if I can keep replacement handset with R1A until SEUS update is available?
What do you think?????
Goodness knows when SE will deliver (if ever)

This service currently works for the following phone brands:
Unbranded - No?
Orange UK - No*
Vodaphone UK - No*
T-Mobile UK - No*
O2 UK - No*
* Recently blocked due to GPRS issues
will it be possibly to use seus whith a vodafone branded phone or must i send it away everytime i would like to update the phone?

Error in communication with the device
Make sure you have removed and reinserted the battery. Then try to start the device.
If your device shows an error message or does not start at all, click Recovery Mode
If your device behaves normally, click Start over.
If the problem persists, please contact support.
What to do whith this error message?
What are i doing thats wrong?

@figgeo
I would expect Vodaphone and the other service providers to allow an update to R1L once it has been put on SEUS ... so long as they haven't been put off SEUS altogether after the R1J fiasco!
As for your problems, the procedure should work fine - one R1L is put on SEUS - as long as you have installed the Update Service USB driver and followed the SEUS instructions carefully.
Monitor this thread to find out when SEUS is back up and running and then try again.

I can only recommend everybody to wait, till the specific firmware for every branded mobile is released. Just wait, as long as your mobile is working fine. I have a K750i with R1A and it crashed from time to time, but as long as this is the only annoyance, I can live with it.

I can confirm that the SEUS is still working for Orange UK handsets.

I updated my K750i to R1J002 last Thursday night and did not use the camera until yesterday. I noticed that I now have green & blue noise lines on the right side of my camera view screen. The lines show on the pictures that I take regarless of light, quality, or macro settings. The lines only show in camera mode; my LCD is fine otherwise.
When I took my first picture on Saturday, the camera application would not run (when opening the shutter or starting from the menu.) I removed the battery and the camera would start and then exit when opening the shutter. I started the camera application from the menu and now it works properly when opening the shutter... go figure...
All other functions of the phone seem to work just as normal.
Has anyone else seen this or do I have a hardware problem? Please help!

What R1M002 ?
The latest released only on davinci is R1L002, and only fix gprs issues

I think He's just assuming R1M.

Hmm, was checking my firmware from a supposed "updated" version from o2 that I had to wait 3 weeks for
its the original R1A044 but appears to be working fine (i have just jinxed myself now), sometimes the menus can be a bit slow (such as My shortcuts button above joystick) but otherwise great.
I wont be flashing to R1L, dont want to sacrifice video recording etc.
We will see what happens in the future.

Sebby- You said seus was working for Orange. Which f/w is this now and have you tried it?

Can I use DaVinci to flash BACK to R1A?

using davinci, or have they updated seus yet??
is there anyway to trick seus into updating the phone using R1L, by downloading the files and somehow putting it into the SEUS folder perhaps, so you dont have to lose the phones memory?

Hi saw that the firmware version R1J for the K750i is supposed to show a "Fully charged" message when the battery comes 100% charge, but I never get this message, could anyone tell me if the message is showed or not!!??
Thanks!
Posted by Sebby
@ itstomhi
Still R1J. My handset is actually unbranded now, but as the SEUS uses the IMEI to determine whether a handset is allowed to use the service, that's how I know.

I really cross my fingers about this new update and hope they turn the video-quality up where it was again. Before this phone I never used video, but with the first fw it was actually good enough to use it. Fun taking some clips when u see something special or at parties and stuff.

can we back date the firmware or not??

Yep - same here - checked with O2 today as I want games enabled. When I mentioned crashing I have had with new handset and told them the replacement had R1A she was surprised as apparently O2 told SE to stop shipping until the new FW was available and was fixed.
Same problems - delayed menus, locked up with black screen, blah blah, baa baa baa

grrr how long do we have to wait for the new update... it looks that 50% of us are having some kind of problems with R1J FW!!!!
Posted by numb
well looks as if they are not going to release R1L on seus, but are going for a newer firmware with more fixes than just the gprs issues.
Posted by dreamfish
i finally got my replacement k750 sent to me - altho they did say 4th of july initially! everything seems ok so far (but its only been on 15mins!)
Posted by staiano
@ numb, what makes you say that?
Posted by Klorin
@numb
Yes, I think so too. They dont wanna do the same mistake twice.. releasing sw that gives them lots of problems and angry customers. Have SE at any time before had as many customers as now? I dont think so. I think they wanna do alot of testing before releasing a new version.
@dreamfish
Whats week is your new phone from? And have you checked for blur in pictures with it?

The time its taking to put it online, had they gone for R1L it would have been online by now. I mean problems with gprs were discovered immediately when R1J was released, it shouldent have taken them long to put a fix online if they were going for only that.
R1L only fixes gprs issues, nothing more, I'd suspect them to want to do more, rather than putting R1L online, and having to change that again pretty soon.
Wouldent be the first time Davince get hold of a firmware that never gets released on SEUS
I can be wrong of course - allthough I usually hate to admit it

My replacement is week 20. Has been ok today,
Posted by staiano
@ numb, I hope you are correct. I want camera software 3.8 back (as the photo and video quality has decreased in 4.4) otherwise R1J has been fine for me.
Sucks we can't go back to R1A.
Posted by dreamfish
how about this then - should i be suspicious of 02?! my handset when i check its firmware says R1A but on the outside of the box it says R1B
Posted by masseur
I don't have my box handy but if I remember correctly the box says the hardware version and not the firmware version.
That hardware version should match what is on the sticker inside the phone but on the K750 thats tricky to see since its no longer directly under the battery like on old models but shoved up inside the housing
Posted by O2 K750i
@dreamfish
Good spot - my box says R2B - previous box said R1A. I've checked SWR idents, content, camera and they are they same as first phone before I flashed.
You got me thinking - maybe O2 were correct - maybe this is a new build of stable software for O2??
Full model of this new phone (on box) is:
DPY 101 2834/82 R2B EN
I suspect SE hand check each phone?? The battery was 70% charged when I got it. I checked call times etc were clear.

My 05W18 NL EU_3 box says:
DPY 101 2834/30 R2A EN,NL
Posted by Sergeic
My operator recommends on their site against installing the current SEUS firmware.
However, my 05W25 replacement phone from SE came preinstalled with R1J002.
Oh well, I don't use GPRS anyway (although testing it, it seems to work fine). Just hope they fix the camera/video quality issues with the new firmware soon
Hardware revision on the box says DPY 101 2834/33 R2A DA,NO
