What you call "license" is just called a "credit" or a "log", which means you can access the server, do one operation (debranding is one, and flashing is another one, so to do this you would need two credits).
Please use the serch function before asking question, since several topics have already been covered...
See http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=80590#post1080617
And no to go too much off topic with this thread
We'll see how it goes with K750i, you can PM me if you want to, vu que c'est quand même plus simple en français....

Thx a lot Newton
I still prefer to wait for the official SE update maybe its more secure... and less expensive !
But when?
Sorry for the off topic posts.

If you analyse the clip on your pc, you will see that it is not recorded in 15fps but in the area of 9fps even though it may look smooth on your phone. You will also see the bitrate is down, and you will certainly also be able to notice the quality difference.
Its not a brandingissue, mine is also unbranded.

thanks for starting this thread, and for keeping it updated, nice work

anymore update on the SEUS issue!

wont be today

So When???
Posted by kaizerp900
As eager as everyone is for the fixed firmware I don't think we'll get anywhere by keep posting "where is it" etc......
best bet is just keep checking the thread every so often, as soon as it's released the news will spread like wildfire so just be patient.
although the K750 has got off to a shaky start with regards to faults / bugs I love the phone to pieces & looking forward to many months of happy use.

Do you have any info for saying that or are you just guessing?
Posted by numb
feel free to keep trying if you think Im wrong
Posted by VydoLL
he just wants to know the source of your info.
Posted by Lazar
I don't think that you are wrong, I also think that it won't be released today, but it's just a guess...
Is it so hard to answer a simple question?

I think it's obvious that it won't be today. Probably won't even be this week! But who knows. Just relax and wait for it to arrive.

Yep - called SE today and he cannot tell me apart from "when the software is ready".
I asked what the problem is due to - is it due to memory timing, throughput etc - he said "I dont know but I am sure that the engineers will have found out by now and will be fixing it"
Comment - if that was true then how did R1J get out there????
Ordered a replacement from O2 today as a back-up plan to SE failing as I cannot reload R1A (which worked apart from the crashes). Also - SE said I could take to SE service centre near Banbury (Oxfordshire) and pay £20ish to reload.

#VydoLL and #Lazar
I did answer a simple question
It really is pointless to start a debate about that, it doesnt matter if I say I have a source or if Im guessing and it doesnt matter who my source is if I do have a source. There will allways be someone questioning if I say I do have a source anyways. If I say I do have a source there will be 20 posts saying they dont beleive me, and 30 others asking when the update will be ready.
Point is someone tried for hours then asked for advice, which I gave.
You can take it and have a cool beer and enjoy the sun or whatever, or leave it and keep trying.
whatever makes you happy is fine by me

I'd tell them to take a running jump with their £20. Their software messed it up, the least they can do is reflash it to a working release for free.

I hope the new firmware is going to be released as soon as possible

Oh - O2 are out of stock so 1) my replacement order is delayed 2) I guess SE havent supplied new handsets to O2.
Gone for a beer, put my feet up and wait for SE to pull the preverbial.

Well mines gone back to O2 repair to be reflashed with the old RA1 firmware, took it in today the woman said should take about a week. Fingers crossed it will come back as it was before that darned update with fully working GPRS.
Actually O2 were quite prepared to exchange it for a brand new K750i, but as they have stopped selling it for the time being, they haven't got any in stock.
Posted by ro1105
met with SE at CommunicAsia several times last week, where they were flashing any older connector models for free. (had i known, i would have brought EVERYTHING.) official SE response: O2 is not permitting them to flash the 750i.
translation: custom 'O2 Active' features would probably become free or unstable after a flash and O2 does not want that to happen.
spoke with O2 tech support, O2 customer service, and several O2 stores. mixed answers i was told: (a) by one store: 20th-June store shipment is delayed until 4th-July, by CSR: stores know nothing until the phones arrive, so don't believe 4th July (b) by CSR: release delayed indefinately suggest another handset, (c) by another store: i would be wait-listed, (d) don't let 28 day replacement period pass w/o replacement, (e) let 28 day replacement period pass w/o replacement as everyone in O2 should know, (f) whichever channel (online, high-street, call centre) you acquire the phone will have to handle your phone - translation - no flashes at the local O2 store.
translation: i plan to wait until 28 day of replacement period to ask for a new 750i or a certificate for a new phone anytime within next year. i want something in writing. give me blood !!

There's one thing I'd like to know: what are the big problems with the new firmware so that all operators asked SE to block the firmware update service?
I red that O2 users couldn't use GPRS anymore, of course it's a HUGE problem and it's normal that O2 blocked the update, but I though it was only the case with the O2 network...
Why did Vodafone, Orange... also block it? From what I understood, the new firmware wasn't bad at all: it helped lots of ppl that had the freezing/reboots problem, the phone was faster... only complaint was a maybe worse photo quality (even if it's true, I think that having worse picture quality but a phone not freezing is better anyway).
I have an Orange (Switzerland) K750, week 23 with original R1A044 firmware and don't have the reboot/freezing issues, didn't have the time to update the new firmware before it was removed, that's why I'm asking about the problems with it...

So they should! It's there GPRS/settings that aren't working on the new f/w, besides they are stocking the product, and an official update from SE shouldn't cause these problems. Im just hoping my repair/reflash job will go okay, im not being fobbed off with a replacement phone, if O2 can't get it to reflash/work they WILL be getting me other K750i...but less cross that bridge when we get there.

ive just been trying to update my unbranded k750 and when it initializes the SEUS part...and asks if ive got my phone plugged in etc., i click yes and it goes initializing phone or something like that..basically just preparing it for the update, but i wait like 10 minutes and nothing happens? is this normal or is it related to SE blocking the update with other carriers?
Edit: nevermind, i just tried it again after leaving it for a while and it worked fine, phone is now updated to latest FW

All people who are having problems with their K750:
Write to your local SE service department (found on the localised support page). Discribe the problem and ask them to address it in the next FW update. The more people that complain about a prob (volume level, cam quality,...) the greater the chance of them fixing it (quickly).
Posted by mvinodkuumarr
@dietbrand
Agreed..
Yep i was planning to do the same..
The more ppl BUG SE the quicker we get a stabilized firmware
Tho i wrote whole issue (new firmware bugs) to SE thru SE Contact page.
Waited for a reply from SE..
Posted by dietbrand
Yep if they give us bugged phones we can sure as hell bug them.
I've always had excellent service from Ericsson and SE (reply within 24h). It kind of depends what country your in i guess.
It mailed them about the low volume in calls, they replied they'd send it to their tech dep and that I should watch out for new FW updates.
Posted by mvinodkuumarr
Just now I called SE 39011111 to my surprise it seems they are unaware of this bugging FIRMWARE...
Don't know when they will release an update

No idea about Se getting firmware online, but o2 now say 4th July for new handsets,i think i may give up.

I've just bought a 512mb Sony branded Memory Stick Pro Duo for my k750i. I've noticed that this card seems quiet a bit slower than the 64mb duo card that comes with the K750i. Has anybody else noticed this, or am I going mad? Do you think it's related to the firmware update which I wish I hadn't performed?

I got a sandisk 512mb card yesterday and i havnt really noticed anything concerning file transfer or general phone operation. It might be a slightly slower but i kinda expected that from a much bigger card.
I have also been trying really hard to find the best settings to convert a film to put on the phone, and with the new card initially it didnt seem to play the video as comfortable as the 64mb stick that came with the phone (loss of sound/jumpy) i may have used different settings so this might just be in my head...
Anyone know if theres a thread around here for discussing compression settings for video on the k750?

i've yet to ring 02 about my gprs problems - but will do asap. do they put you on a waiting list for a new handset then? do they send the handset out to us, or do we have to send our faulty ones back first?
Posted by vegetaleb
@n3x it's a little off-topic here but just a tip: reduce the kb/s to be between 120 and 220
Posted by dreamfish
just rang o2 and they were great - the call lasted 5 mins, i told them my phone freezes and they're sending me a replacement in 2-3 days!
Posted by philroche
@dreamfish - I don't know how you managed that. I was told they're not getting them in untill 27th June.
Posted by spuddle
sorry if this has been asked before, but... witht he firmware upgrade and o2 gprs stopping working, is this the same for every one on o2's k750 or only on certain phones?
thanks!
Posted by Lemmy
spuddle:
I don't know for O2, but for TDC i DK, it depends on WHEN you update!
If you create your accounts and GPRS settings in the old FW version and update, everything will work.
If you update without any accounts etc., you will not be able to create any useful data accounts afterwards. It will NOT function.
Lemmy
Posted by dreamfish
@roche - i dunno how i managed it too - people are telling me not to expect it until july now?! but the guy at o2 said it'd be 1-3 days!
Posted by mp3wiz
@dreamfish
keep us updated as to when it arrives!

Error in communication with the device
Make sure you have removed the battery and reinserted it. Then try to start the device.
If your device shows an error message or does not start at all, click Recovery Mode
