well, after deleting the DB file, i start the SEUS again, waited for a while till it asked me to connect my phone, i did it holding the 'c' as usual till SEUS tells me to release it - i think it did recognise my phone other words it wouln't have asked me to release the 'c' don't you think? And after releasing the 'c', it says my phone already has the current software and that there are no available update. i could see a w800i phone on the SEUS i think that means SEUS is able to detect my phone.
I was wondering that since, i had gone far yesterday up to to the point were SEUS says ' phone updating don't touch your phone' and then there was a break in internet connection, i think that may have somehow done some unfinished task on my phone. My phone is still off! i don't have the slightest idea of what next to do. i'm frustrated! Esatonians! PLZ help!

A few questions. Did you try to reconnect cable to another USB port? Did you try to hold return button and simultaneously hold power button for 15-20 seconds to turn on the phone? Before it did you try to eject battery for 2-4 hours? After SEUS said your phone already has the current software and that there are no available update, did you see the button on SEUS screen called (i don't know its correct name in English) flash anyway or flash again. If you had no this button, you need to uninstall your updater fully (with deleting catalogue Update in Program Files/Sony Ericsson) and install previous version of Updater (UpdateService_Inst_2.2.11b.exe - look it for in google or try link in Russia http://soft.technodrive.ru/do[....]pdateService_Inst_2.2.11b.exe) - in this case you'll have this button sure.

Close down the updater
Delete the DB folder located @ Program Files/Sony Ericsson/Update/DB
and try the update again. this will make sure the updater re downloads the firmware for your phone. it my have been corrupted when you downloaded it

Nope didn't work. Could it most likely be the phone itself that has a fault?

I've tried removing the battery now. i'll wait 2-4 hours before trying to hold the return and power button simultaneously. i've not yet tried to another port; will do that when i try puting on the phone - after the four hours. No i did not see any button that says 'flash again or flash anyway'.
With uninstalling my current updater, don't understand what you mean by "deleting catalogue Update in Program Files/Sony Ericsson" Do you mean i delete the folder Update after fully uninstalling? Please elaborate on that. I also tried downloading the previous Russia version of SEUS from the link you gave me but it doesn't seem to be working.
I'll try searching again through google as you said. thanks hope it works. i'll keep sending posts on any progress.
I also want to encourage any other idea from any Esatonian.

Yes, after uninstalling program through Control Panel you need to delete this folder manually.

this link is only for downloaders from Russia I think.
There is repeated flash button in this version of updater (2.2.11b), but hope you’ll turn on your phone earlier.

Anyone having problems on O2-UK updating to the latest f/w?
Everytime I use the latest SEUS (2.6.5.5) it just says I have the latest software but I know I am running R1AA008 which is now old!!

The firmware you receive depends on your CDA. e.g. O2 UK's CDA 102338/16 is known to update to R1BC002 but other CDAs may not.
Different regions get updates at different times, as do different service providers phones. Read the first post for more info.

From looking at the first page I thought O2-UK only had the single CDA and as it says that is on the latest firmware I was a bit confused to why I could not update.

I've tried switching my phone on holding the return button and the power button simultaneously for about 15-20 secs after removing the battery for about 3-4 hours but still nothing! my phone is still off. i guess i'll take it to a local phone geek to do some little tweakin on it for me since i can't get all the help i need here. my phone is still off!

And what about re-flash (re-update)?
Just today re-update helped one guy with K750 in Russia (on my advice) in the same situation (electricity failed). If unsuccessful in yr case, try update via Davinci client. sorry i only wanted to help you.

hey the camera on my k750 is broke 4 no reso.whenever i open the shutter the screen comes up 4 the camera but then goes away really quickly.could anyone tell me if updating the firmware would fix this problem.tia

updated to latest software on my unbranded k750i.
when i access phone book and call somebody. the screen will go black as if it's restarting and then take a while to open contact information when it comes back on.
this happens now and again and is very annoying. is anyone else having the same problem. many thanks

This is the first time im attempting to update my firmware and im having issues from the begining. Once i press and hold 'C', attatch it too my cable, it has issues trying to find my cable. Is there anything i can do?

As I have posted in response to you before, there is no such firmware as R1B00C or R1B002 - I assume you mean R1BC002. Additionally, noone knows when a new firmware will come out, but historically it's about on every 2-3 months - i.e. possibly in another month or so.
What problems are you having with R1BC002!? You say it's good, but you 'need' to update it soon. What are you hoping to get with a new firmware!? If you are afer additional features you are likely to be out of luck.

My firmware version on k750i is R1BC002, which i believe is the latest. I dont need any updates.
The only problem i am facing is low volume when songs are played in Media Player or File Manager (the volume almost doubles when you set it as ringing tone) and very low speaker phone volume, other than that everything else is great.
I hope SE team fixes this in their next firmware update.

With the R1AA008 the shortucts added to the joystick stayed there even If I turned my cell off; but now with R1BC002 when I turn off teh cell the return to default (< messages) and (> new shotrcut)

Now, try to save a new number that comes from a text message or something (a text message coming from a new number or a number within a text message). Try to save it on any of the existing contacts (as a different number, work/office etc.) When you try to save, the phone soft reboots, that is, screen went blank then after a while turns on again searching for a network provider.
This happens everytime i try to save a new number when the auto save on sim is on.
Fone is w800 on the latest firmware. Might also happen on k750. Dunno if this happens with previous versions..

My firmware version on k750i is R1BC002, I found problems that when I switch on/off the FM radio. I will hear several clicking sound. In addition, I will hear my echo when I use handfree and speaking near to the mic.
Anyone have same problem?

My K750 came preloaded with R1BC002 but with additional operator crap. Reflashed, all is well. Guess I missed out on all the fun!

I've recently updated my firmware to R1BC002. I've noticed it is much nicer to the Original R1A044. However theres a huge battery issue with this firmware as opposed to the R1A044. It jus drains sooo easily when listening to music, i mean i doubt i can even get 9 hours worth of listening.
It was only last week i updated my firmware, and it was only 2 days before that i got my 2gb card. Could it be that the 2gb card is making my battery drain?
I'm no pro when it comes down to the technical details about memory cards so please, can some shed some light about my situation.

with the new firmware it is possible that the processing speed of th ephone and signal boosters and such may increase thus reducing your battery life....not saying its deffinate but it is possible

I'm on R1BC002 since the update was first ready on SEUS (like usually)
Yesterday, after getting fed up from general slow down of my phone (lots of java app/games loaded), i did a full master reset, and just after, i did a settings reset.
Surprise !! All the preinstalled certificates were deleted !!!!!!! No certificate at all !!!!
Please; as you all have your K750, tell me the list of all certificates preinstalled on the phone to let me make a search on the net to reinstall them.
