I thought maybe I was doing something wrong but you must be right. It is just going to be a case of waiting. I emailed SonyEricsson abouth the problem and i recieved this:
"Dear Sir,
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.
With regards to your enquiry, the SEUS is currently experiencing problems as it
is currently down.
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us
again for further help and support.

Hello. I got a new k750 a week ago and tried to update to the latest firmware using SEUS (R1BC002).
The update gets to about 1.5 blocks to go
and i get an error.
http://img331.imageshack.us/img331/6131/error9yi.jpg
Could somebody please help me overcome this. So far, i have tried a master reset, re-istalling drivers/software (java/updater/usb drivers etc); none of which have helped. I repeatadely get the same error at the same stage every time.
As far as i know, my phone still works normally but has alot more menu lag and the camera still takes photos after the shutter sound, proving that my phone is not fully updated.
Thanks in advance.

i hate r1b002 i think r1035 was well better easily.
Posted by Elizabeth
what exactly do you hate about it?
I am on r1aa.. currently and I'm not sure whether I want or not to update my phone, it works pretty fine now. And so many people experience problems with upgrading now - "not properly upgraded, malfunctioning"...

Hey, what's the best solution to backup-restore installed software settings (like opera mini bookmarks etc)? I need to use DavinciTeam to upgrade my W800i, and although I can re-sync contacts and calendar, I have to start all over installing the application and settings... any way around this? Thanks!
Posted by serg
there was no r1b002, it is r1bc002 and it is BETTER when compared to r1n035. If you have r1n or r1aa then it is ok to update to r1bc. r1aa008 is the worst firmware for k750

Hi guys iam having a problem i just got the K750I with R1J002 firmware on it i would like to update it but when i try to from the SEUS i get "no update available for your phone"

To that guy a couple pages back wondering why you can't type the letters to jump to your favorite song. Here's how - pretty simple really.
When you go 'file-manager --> sounds' scroll down so that you are highlighting the first actual song in the list (skip ringtones and videodj) - THEN type the letters - it's not perfect since (for me at least) it takes you to the letter immediately before the one you have selected - in your case you were wanting metallica, it'd take you to any songs starting with N - stupid, but that's about the best it can do for now it would seem.
Maybe a firmware update will fix it...

The update service worked today, My W800i updated to R1AA008 as its an 'UK Orange' branded phone.
R1BC002 sounds good because
"- Photos are now taken as soon as the shutter sound is heard"
The delay when taking photos gets on my nurves.
*"SEUS II will currently install the following firmware revisions for UK phone brands:
K750
Unbranded UK (CDA102338/38) - R1BC002
O2 UK (CDA102338/16) - R1BC002
Orange UK (CDA102338/12) - R1AA008
Vodafone UK (CDA102338/68) - R1AA008
T-Mobile UK (CDA102361/2?) - R1AA008
W800
Unbranded UK (CDA102338/38) - R1BC002
O2 UK (CDA102338/16) - R1AA008
Orange UK (CDA102338/12) - R1AA008
T-Mobile UK (CDA102425/43?) - R1AA008 "*
Does this mean that eventually the branded versions of the phones will also be able to update to R1BC002 at some time or will the phone have to be unbranded to perform this update, if ever?

id also like to know the answer to the question that SEproblems asked, here it is once again:
Does this mean that eventually the branded versions of the phones will also be able to update to R1BC002 at some time or will the phone have to be unbranded to perform this update, if ever?
anyone know the answer?

Based upon my own experience, yes, branded phones should eventually get also R1B. Mine is Orange branded and I was among the last to upgrade from R1N to R1A - only a week before the release of R1B. So, what can I say... patience...
Posted by mwarner
I've probably answered this question a hundred times, but yes - you are likely to see R1BC available for most branded phones. Operators test the latest firmware versions with their networks and put them through their own battery of tests. If they pass then they create a customised firmware and tell SE to release it on SEUS. If their tests suggest it is less reliable than the current branded firmware then they don't ever release it.

Yeah - see for mine that doesn't work. I've tried everything, but I can't get it to skip to songs. Not the biggest problem in the world - but a whole bunch of small problems kinda make the phone crappy... not that the K750 is crappy - far from it. Just little simple things like that can be fixed in firmware updates. I wonder why it doesn't work for me?

Hi,
Anyone have problems with Bluetooth in the latest firmware?
I have it paired with my car (an Audi). When I select 'Answer' from my car system, the phone says 'transferred to phone'. The option to answer in the handsfree is set on my phone.

Orange CH CDA102338/26 is still R1AA008
Will tell you when this changes

I have had BT problems with my K750 with every firmware that has come out, the BT connection to and from my pc is fine however it will only connect to bt headset for about 5 minutes then dissconnect.
If I do get an incomming call within the 5 minutes of connecting then I have the same problem as you, or my phone will just dissconnect from the headset and the only way to reconnect is to pair them again.
To say I am dissapointed with the Bt implementation on this phone is an understatement.

Similar probs for me too Del....
Dug out my HBH-200, which I hadn't used since I moved from P900 to the K750, as the early K750 firmware didn't seem BT stable.
I'd hoped later updates wud fix this - but I've been trying today to check this and no sugar... Phone connects to BT headset and within 3 mins the connection is gone again!
Really annoying

Its a K750i on orange...
any ideas please?
Posted by ejwghinos
@Ranjith: Mine is not locked either, but is customized. Check your CDA to see if it is customized.
@Chivalry: Keep this firmware as it is IHMO the best! Much better battery life than R1AA008

That looks like a German O2 branded phone to me. It looks like O2 Germany haven't released R1BC

Another new thing in R1BC002, K750i(I think) If you have a task set up, after the task time you now get a little icon at the top next to the signal bar, untill you view or say the task is done. I haven't noticed it on pervias firmware.

Since it's possible to upgrade the K750i f/w with the USB cable, wouldn't it follow that the unlocking can be done through the USB cable?

Weird... My girlfriends k750 does the same as well, our firmware is R1BC002 - customization is europe_5, and emea_1 (No shutter sound on either)
Purchased in the Philippines.

can it be.. that SE didn't want k750i to have flight mode thus they removed it from w800? hahah don't think so.. that is definitely a bug

zyexx - Go to Settings >> General >> Start-up Menu
Is it set to "Show" or "Don't Show"?

Try to update once again via SEUS..I have updated 7 times without problems..read a lot here and there in this forum to get more insight about SEUS..
Posted by jakester2000
I have an Orange branded W800 with current firmware R1L002.
Although I was thinking about updating this through SEUS, I have noticed a few dissenting voices saying I should stick with this one.
Seeing as how it is hard to follow the order of the firmware that followed R1L for Orange can someone indicate whether on balance there are more benefits than cons for updating to R1AA008?

To those who have problems with intermittent joystick - try sucking out the dust that collects with a vacuum cleaner - seems to be much better on a few K750's we've tried.

I have a D750i that has been flashed to W800i software.
BUT the camera doesn't work and it doesn't register on O2. How can i reflash the phone back to an unlocked/debranded D750i ?
What cables do i need? Or does anyone on here flash them that i could post it to?
Thanks
Posted by O2 K750i
Use Total Multiserver or Da Vinci to flash back. Dont post unless you know you will get it back.

Can i use the USB cable that comes with the phone for that?
or do i need a different cable ?
Posted by Vicser
You need DCU-60 (USB cable from comlete set with phone) and money for DaVinci Team.
