There are so many pages here and I just hope someone can answer my question(s) in one post instead of me looking through every single page. I have recent bought a UK unlocked k750i. However i live in the USA. I updated it to R1AA008 through SEUS and then heard about a new update. I would like to unbrand the phone to get rid of all the O2 stuff and is it possible to change the CDA to an american one and still be able to update through SEUS. Right now my CDA reads

I think since everything is branded to O2 but i have a tmobile USA sim card I still have to wait for O2 to approve the FW before I can download it through SEUS. I would like to change it to American 1 or 2 because I heard people have already downloaded the newest FW with SEUS.
So hopefully someone here can help me and Im sorry if this question has already been asked but I want to make sure I do everything right. Thanks for all the help.

Well W800i firmware update is bound to show up sometime, even if it's strange that it would appear first in SE service centres before SEUS. I would've expected them to release it at the same time.
For my EMEA 2 W800i there is still no firmware update, maybe somebody with the EMEA for Spain could check on SEUS.

I tried yesterday update in SEUS for Spain and had no available update. My friend updated in a center in Germany since is there living for a time and updated you to the R1BC002 Europe zone_1(EU1).

Can some1 pls help or tell me how 2 update firm/software on my W800i using SEtool2? I'm using the standard supplied usb cable. I also downloaded the software from pappfer.hu, both 1008 files. Which 1 do i use and where do i put them. My current 1035 is a bit buggy with bt so i really wan2 get it sorted. Pls help me. Any1.

Yes you can. I flashed my O2-branded K750 to generic R1AA using Davinci and then updated to R1BC using SEUS. However, I think if you use Davinci to flash your phone to a different model's fw (eg K750 > W800 etc), then SEUS will not allow you to update.

Just a clarification on the latest firmware its listed as that one can zoom into files which are greater than the 2mpx cam size
this is false ive tried zooming into some piccies ive got stored on my phone taken by a nikon 5mpx cam and it still wont do it

EDIT: I'm having problem to connect my W800 to the PC with the cable after update to R1BC002... in the device manager under USB controllers (or something like that, my windows isn't in english) but I can't access the MSPD or use MyPhoneExplorer... I'm trying on another PC, I don't have a bluetooth dongle to test it with my pc....

Just successfully updated my Australian EU_2 W800 from R1AA008 to R1BC002. Same deal - SEUS said I had the current software. I choose to continue anyway. It then went off and downloaded for approx 10mins (I'm on 256k adsl) and updated the phone - approx another 5 mins.

ok so i got davinci and de branded my phone by flashing the FW. I also changed my CDA from EU_2 to AMERICA_2. I went into SEUS program and it still says there are no new updates. Why did it work for some people and not me? What should i do?

In my case, the SEUS still says I have the last version but I hit continue anyway and the result is R1BC0002 but I would not recomend it now... I can't connect my phone to my PC and I don't know why, I'm charching my phone again to try another update...
Another posibility could be do a master reset but if it doesn't work I wouldn't be able to restore a back up with MyPhoneExplorer...

Like others here, SEUS indicated that I had the latest f/w.
I selected continue anyway and is now updated R1BC002.

i flashed my main file FW from EU1 to HONG KONG and kept the AMERICA_2 CDA but still SEUS says no update. What main file location works?

Updated mine to R1BC002 on EMEA_6. Found a huge difference in the signal strength. Where I get three or four bars earlier, I'm now getting all signal bars up. Still surprised. Tried calling a few people and the call's quality has been increased. I normally get a lot of voice cuts when I call someone from my place and today it has been greatly reduced. The signal bar seems to update quicker than it used to.
The walkman function has an added option to view videos. I think it was not there earlier. The walkman sounds slightly harsher than before. Guess the sound was not amplified in the correct way. Nothing very noticeable though.... or maybe I'm wrong.....
I'm just glad the phone's signal retention is greatly increased.
That is all I've seen so far. A necessary update indeed.

First improvement noticed: now it says it's on Vodafone RO instead of Connex. No ideea why it did change with the firmware update.
First post should be updated with the availabilty of R1BC002 for W800i and instructions on how to get it.

1) Previously someone mentioned they had noticed the option to play videos in the walkman player. There was the option to play videos via Walkman player in previous R1AA008 firmware. However, with R1BC002 on my W800 I have noticed that if your move joystick down when playing a video it plays in slow motion. Pressing joystick returns to normal play mode. Not sure if this is new or not. But I like the feature.
2) I can still hear the same occasional crackle between songs and crackle/hiss during quiter moments in songs. Didn't really bother me that much before hand. We must remember that these are only MP3's. I also think the Headphones that come with W800 have a very high frequency response as I do not notice the noise with normal headphones.
3) I know people in this forum love little annoying bugs. So, here's one I discovered last night in R1AA008 that is now gone with R1BC002. i.e. With R1AA008 I found if you minimised the walkman player (leaving it playing a song), opened a photo via file manager and then exited and returned to the Walkman player you could not browse up and down the play list until you quit and started again. I repeated this several times last night. Now, with R1BC002 you can browse photo's while listening to music and safely return to the walkman player and browse through your play list while listening. Those still on R1AA008 try it out and you'll see what I mean.
4) I don't really notice any speed increase or volume increase.
5) Used the camera a few times today and am still impressed that there is no more annoying camera lag.
6) Haven't noticed any probs transferring data (parameter incorrect) - so far. Fingers crossed! This bug really annoyed me.
Really does look SE got this right. I sure some will find bugs later but this seems to be best F/W of the lot. Stability is the most important fix.
