I had this phone updated the first time I purchased this from the SE dealer in SM North Mall. The firmware was updated to the latest that time = R1N035. This originally had China in the engineering menu as far as my memory can remember.

It's a shame we have to find workarounds for this program not always working the way it should!
One other piece of trivia that I forgot to mention from my last update, was that prior to running this latest update through SEUSII, my previous firmware upgrade was done through DaVinci.
I made sure I downloaded a different region of the firmware (EU_1) so that there would be no shutter sound, and when I just updated through SEUSII, it detected this region and updated in accordance to it! So I still have no shutter sound, even after an update through SEUSII.
Maybe all SEUSII can detect is if the phone actually has a different phone's firmware on it (W800i - K750i), but not differing regions? Hmm!

same thing with my phone... with R1N (EU2) i got it from an update via DVT (original FW: CHINA/ZN R1L). but when SEUS came about i tried updating to it then it detected my phone as EU2. funny, good it works so i was updated to R1AA. then again this one R1BC it worked again.. all updates with no glitch. (except for the first try with SEUS1, an update to R1N thats why i went to DVT as a resort).

funny thing man... it wouldnt go dead as a brick. hopefully youll get to try again and again... my phone back then was a bit like that... tho my resort that time was davinciteam.com but i would strongly suggest your discretion with regards to this matter. do everything even goin to SE service centers and try to see what they can do. is it still under warrannty?

allright guys. i'm officially mad. i tried again and again and again and it still tells me no updates available. what's going on? first time i used SEUS worked fien, got it to R1AA on the first try. now it says no updates available???? MY region is EMEA_6

So I can't figure out why the SEUS would do this to my phone since it never got updated by third party methods like DVT and only thru authorized SE centers.
Just a waste of my time now to go all the way to the shop when updating it myself would have been more convenient since my office has the internet technology to accomplish this.

hi all,
tried to updated my f/w from r1n035 to the r1bc002
but towards the end of the update from SESU, it tells me error updating.
The wierd thing is that after checking the f/w on my phone, its r1bc002!!! with camera cxc 125 932 r1e?? (R1AA008 version)
and customization of r1n035 apac_1
well the phone works well as of now... have not actually tried it thoroughly. is this normal??

If it tells you no updates is available, then there are simply no updates available. Theres nothing wrong with neither seus, your installation or the way you do it, but your mobile network operator simply has not yet approved the firmware update, hence its not available to you yet. You just have to be patient and try again in a couple of days.

dude its nice to know your on IT... well atleast youll understand things there... or should i say the SE phones, online services and phone hardware itself. since you are in the field of IT. basically we find roundabouts with regards to those matters. well i did. since i thought that exchanging messages with SE staff here in manila will not get me anywhere. and if ever they will flash my phone they will still flash it with the existing FW or maybe a step back. Since my goal is to update it means going forward. so wots the use? get me? so i took charge of the matter. Gone to davinciteam.com cost me a couple of dough.. but i think its worth it. my only satisfaction that time is to see my phone running.. and i dont give a damn about asking favors and priviledges from SE. such shmux. then after awhile ive done it.. got my update R1N that time. then out of nothin i tried updating with the newly published SEUS2 that time and the firmware was R1AA, well the thing is.. it updated my phone without hiccups. up to know i still update via SEUS with respect to the previously flashed phone by DVT.
my only point here is that since your an IT.. its a standard. if you cant make em, break em...
your choice mate. go to the service center without quams. or do it yourself and damn about warranty. its the end result that counts...

hi guys only last week i update my K750i to R1AA008 now i want to update to the new version but the problem now is whenever i click on the update service icon on my desktop and nothing happen..... i uninstall the old one, download new one from SE website and the problem still the same... help... dying for the new update.....

have upgraded firmware to R1BC002 , have now notice joystick navigation has improved.
prior to upgrde i had problems scolling right or down using joystick, the phone would register the selection but would not move the cursor...
now after upgrade joystick navigation is normal & infact much faster.

for those can Update using SEUS try reinstalling your USB driver for the Update services. I did jsut that and my SEUS works...but I have a w800i, so I don't get to updat ethe newest yet....but it did tell me that I have the lates right now (R1A008)...

@sini - I know just what you mean. People have always spoken of joysticks not registering movement, but I too have seen my phone acknowledge a movement of the joystick, but make no effort to actually follow through!
For example - composing a text message, I would motion to move the cursor left, the cursor would stutter in acknowledgement of the joystick being pressed, but fail to move. Odd!

About certain games not running full screen...
With my previous version R1L they worked full screen.
Only now after the update to R1AA008 there are the stripes on top and bottom
[EDIT] It just forgot the settings for the games. Re-entered them and now are full screen. Sorry about the wrong bug report...

i finally figured out why SEUS says no update available. between my first (successful) update and this ( not working) one i had unlocked my phone. it seems the guy didnt do it properly and made the phone Brown. and SEUS wont upgrade brown phones. solution : get service cable from davinci, and turn the color back to red, correct CDA and upgrade to latest firmware. hopefully after that i'll be able to use SEUS in the future. anybody, feel free to correct me if i got part of this wrong. thanks fro listening . over & out

Yeah, sometimes the update service / software can be inconsistent. sometimes it works without bugs, sometimes you just can't get it the hell working.

Man, their service really sucks. It keeps telling me "No update available".
It did tell me the same last time I upgraded on SEUS I, but at least then there was an option to force the upgrade which worked for me. Now there is no such option on SEUS II and I am stuck.
Not to tell that time before that the update crashed which forced me to use DaVinci. (maybe DaVinci messed it up?). Why can't SE fix this shit properly?
If anyone knows why it tells me no update available please tell me.

Hello mates,
I am getting this error message now for the past 48 hours continously:
"Unable to connect to the server, clik ok to review proxy settings or click cancel to exit the application"
and if i click ok, its shows proxy configuration, which is:
proxy server : proxy.sonericsson.se
port: 8080
Earlier, i.e. more than 48 hours ago, it was connecting but not proceeding further after selection of language. In fact the CPU usage used to about 100% with ma3platform.exe consuming lot of power and i had to end the task.
Anyone faced this problem so far and any suggestions? i am using 2.2.13.7d update version of updating software.

talkin about the r1bc firmware - has anybody noticed any increase or decrease of the battery life? havent tried updating yet, waiting for some response about the battery life with the new FW, but according to the positive response about other fixes/improvements, maybe its worth upgrading..
i have previously apgraded my k750 from r1n035 to r1aa without having any problems at all - averything went as smooth as it could ever be..
my first post i suppose.

ok just realised that this feature might have been available before but i just didnt know bout it.
it still asks for headphones from the standby screen though.

regarding battery life, seems no change from r1aa. compared to r1l and previous ones battery life is very low. not so much in standby or playing music, but when used for talking youll see that gauge drop like crazy. now whether this is due to increase in rf performance or faulty gauge is debatable.

I wish everyone would learn some patience. All these people with R1AA008 claiming it's urgent. How so - will the world explode? No. Just wait - it will come in good time. I'm excited about the new update - especially if it fixes the parameter error message, the static and camera lag. But, I'm not going to post messages demanding the update when we know it is coming. It is this exact attitude that results in companies rushing out updates before they are ready. It is then those who demand rushed releases that will complain the most about new bugs. And, when it comes to bugs can we please not complain about silly things. i.e. the browsing through the call list while listening to MP3's. Whoopy De Do Da! How often would you do that! It really doesn't affect the stability of the phone. If that bothers you then maybe you should complain about loss of sound in media player when you press the button to take a photo. There's only so much processing power in a little phone and they are not true multitasking devices. Even Windows with the latest processors will stutter on sound when performing multiple tasks. So get over it and focus on the real problems. And lastly, those complaining about updates not working because they have used Davinci - get over it! You mucked around with your F/W knowing the risks. SE can not and should not be expected to catter for this activity. So if your phone stops, will not update, or gets changed to the real F/W meant for you phone - tough luck. Go back to Davinci - don't blame SE.

I've just spotted another feature fixed with R1BC002!
Large files such as from the Sound Recorder no longer give a huge lag when just browsing through File Manager (when the files are big that is, e.g. 60 mins of recording). However there is a bit of a lag when initiating play although seems much better than R1AA008.

I have a k750i and recently updated to firmware R1BC002 EUROPE_2. Has anyone noticed that the progress bars are now missing. For example if you go to Show or hide no and change the setting the progress bar no longer updates. Or if ur sending an sms there is no progress bar indication. Is this a bug in the firmware? Also is there a way to rollback the firmware using SEUS?

try choosing another Theme.. or if not reinstall all your themes... i think that should do tha trick... it worked for me... ive experienced that dilemma every succesful update via SEUS.

On the k750i u can assign a shortcut key to the right arrow of the joystick by default it says something like Create Favourite key... I accidently assigned something but I wanna know how u can set the right arrow to the default setting of Create Favourite key? is that a phone default that can never be set again?

The only solution then was to use DaVinci to fix it. So it was SEUS fault to begin with.

I think only some experienced that... an awful batch of W800 indeed. thats why it has to be omitted since not everyone has the bug.
tho the current (R1BC) firmware i think cancelled the noise from incoming calls. and tweaked up a bit on the volume now you can clearly hear the other line while calling outdoors (unlike before). and about the hissing on media player. tho i havent experienced that personally... not in the previous firmware and a step back..

I just upgraded my phone to R1BC002 and something diden't go right... When the phone is starting and efter i input the PIN the phone search up the operator and then Restart's... And this loops until I take out the batt...
Will an ServicePoint have a better way to reflash the phone och is it gone...
