The increased sound is a nice touch, but is it still clear and crisp?
It's rather strange I guess that the K750i firmware came out first, if I recall correctly in the past the W800i firmware hit the updates first.
Posted by baste07
thanks for the udpates. i'll try again to see if there's one available for APAC already
Posted by DP-77
Thats why no one replied to me straight away lastnight you were all up dating your H sets

back with R1AA my AAC (m4a) files where like hitting the treble that much... seems like all i can hear is symbals and S words of the lyrics... right now using AAC i can clearly hear Eminems rap. words can be clearly heard. I dunno if you guys gettin the way i describe crispiness.
and with mp3... damn its quite clear...
Posted by baste07
i had no problems with sounds mp4 and mp3 with my R1AA before. i have to compare when i have the new firmware arleady if there's a drastic change in sound quality
Posted by rockygali
drastic change on sound quality? hmm i dont think so... its hard to notice.. but i did. in loudness that is.
i guess this will be the last update for K750, or we wont be hearing from this for a long time.
Posted by baste07
yeah i believe this will be the last also. newer models are going to hit the market soon.
Posted by baste07
any other enhancements you see with the new firmware? still no flight mode? no upgrade of player?
Posted by rockygali
nope... no miracles on that part... media player is the same player weve been usin...
and the battery indicator is still a wack!

Ive got that menu on my R1N035 firmware too
Posted by chowkb
any parameter incorrect issues??
Posted by rockygali
parameter incorrect dilemma... hhhmm
with R1AA it was kinda rampant on the first week, then after along while i usually transfer heap files (jpegs) from phone to PC. and so far the issue is slowly vanishing... havent experienced one lately (before the update of R1BC).
and so far... trying continuously... heap transfer from PC-phone and vice versa. so far no transfer bugz...

thanks for your quick response....i'm hoping (fingers crossed) that this issue won't appear in R1BC for me. Currently, waiting for the W800i to get the update as well........^^

I tried updating last night from R1A to R1BC but keep getting update failed message at the end. I can use the phone and in the software info is shows up as the new firmware but I would rather have it say successful then go around with just incomplete software.
I tried a settings resets but that didnt help. Anyone else having this problem with new firmware?
Might it be that I am on a wireless network and it sometimes loses connection but then regains it in a second ? Or is the firmware downloaded and when you update its not even necessasry to be online?
Am on O2 UK unbranded.
Cheers Will
Posted by Hesky
Sorry to disapoint you but the Firmware is downloaded to your PC before it begins flashing the phone with it.
Posted by mrwoll
Ah thats alright then so its not dependant on my rubbish wireless connection. Ok well then can anyone think what might be going wrong? I am reluctant to try a full master reset (reset ALL) simply because of the hassle.
Posted by bilbiano
any remarkable picture quality impruvments???
Posted by Hesky
@mrwoll,
not alot you can do there might be a small bug in your customisation version of the FW it will be fixed in time, just give it a while.
Posted by huggons1
I have spoken to Sony who advise that R1BC002 is only available for the K750 and not the W800 as yet.
Steve

@hesky
Cheers. Well I am trying a master reset now, got bored and realised that MyPhoneExplorer 1.3.3 is pretty efficient in backing everything up.
I will try and update when its done and post the feedback on here.
Posted by bilbiano
did anybody remark a noticable picture quality impruvments vs R1AA008,
because of that I stayed on L002 till now, it's pictures are much more clear, not like last one!
please, try the camera...
...

Gio

Posted by z3ky

Just upgraded my K750 to R1B002.
key highlights:
Menu's seem faster
Joystick doesnt STICK as much as before
no hissing sound at low vol
no other noticable changes.. so far so good.
Posted by serg
is it me or distortions are gone when listening mp3s in headphones?
Posted by CyberVisitor
Anyone with EU_4 who managed to update yet?
Posted by Brady
Free memory and memory stick memory under phone status are now in MB instead of KB on R1BC002.
They've finally done the firmware fix i've been waiting on.....lol.
Posted by baste07
and what is that?
also its been MB for me even on the R1AA firmware
Posted by mwarner
Added R1BC002 information to the first post. Sorry for the delay - I have been busy for the last two days and not had a chance to log into Esato.
Any further information or corrections to the information in the first post should be added to the thread or PMed to me. I am particularly interested to know which (if any) customised firmwares are available (e.g. O2, Voda, Orange etc).

Thats strange... I used the same version of the updater a few days ago, and tried again just now, but it says I already have the latest FW installed? And on mine it is now (after updating): R1AA008...
Thats not very nice! I want the new one!
