I had a T630 and I'm sorry to tell you that the K750 is way better!
I've been an ericsson fans since they launched the GH377 and I've ever since had ericsson phones (388, and the sony ericsson's and I can tell you that the K750 is one of the best products I've seen!

Hi guys, I haven't been around for a while. It's nice to see that a new firmware is finally available, and the fixes are (potentially) good. I've just updated my unbranded K750i (CDA 102338/38 R6A) without a problem. Now I've got a lot of catching up to do of this thread.

I seem to be getting away with everything for a change! Since R1N i've only experieced 1 crash and that was when someone tried to call me while i was watching a film... i can let the phone off for that. But everything else works fine! no file transfer issues, my hbh-600 works faultlessly, the camera is better than ever... it looks like there are big differences between certain k750's and im fortunate enough to be one of the few lucky ones it would seem
sorry to rub it in! I still love this phone and always knew it had great potential. SE need to work on their customer service though!

your lucky alright... I got my personal 3rd k750i yesterday....
It seems 3rd time lucky also... hasnt crashed yet... knock on wood...
Still has pretty much a few issues with it but I guess it is all to do with O2 being a bit skiddish about what to give customers...
Wilst I still think and agree with you about the great potential the K750i has under the bonnet, I cant help feeling all it could be is the W800i, since wilst possible I not gonna go down that road, I have to wait until both SE and O2 get theire act together....
I hate corporate bullsh1t and theire internal politics...

Is the video that your friend gave you listed as being on the memory stick or being on the phone in the Videos folder? I would expect it to work if it is placed in the phone's memory but not on the memory stick, however I have never tried deleting / moving this item myself. See my PM for more information.

Have you tried using the Recovery mode of SEUS to get your friend's phone back up and running. That is specifically there to restore non-operational phones after a bad flash.
If this doesn't work then you could always try a service like DaVinci. There are many threads on DaVinci in Esato which may help you if you decide to go this route. It goes without saying that you should try SEUS Recovery first though! See the first page of this thread for links.

i have the same problem with you... i tried to update my fw from R1L to R1N today... and guess what, my phone just wont start... the update didnt go through. i received an error message some part in the 52% of the update...
any help will surely be appreciated.
any one knows how to downgrade to the R1L? i have the firmware in my windoze box. i just dont know how to flash it back.

Hi!
I tried to update my k750i with the update service,everything was ok but when the update procces went to 48% a message saying can not communicate with device appeared and the procces was terminated.first the phone was non-operational so I used the recovery mode and the same thing happened at 48 %.i tried several times with the update service but always the same thing.now my phone works but the camera doesnt because of the driver version.the volume keys during a call or mp3/video playback doesnt work too.i also send an email to the support center but they havent reply yet.What should I do?can anyone help me?

I cant think why this should be... but if the phone needs updating take it to the shop where u bought it and ask them to update it for u...
This way if anything goes wrong it is 110% theire responsability not yours...
If the phone is still under warranty swap it over... its my 3rd K750i

Orange is one of the Networks that has signed for the update via SEUS.... So anyone that owns a Orange UK notice that bold statment UK orange phones are able to update via SEUS.....
therefore budy as much as anyone would want to help out it so would seem you must pay for them so that they can work 100% once flashed...
I could upload any files that anyone can dowload via Davinci and some other companies offering such updates. the question will be and remain.... will it work in the end???
They request some finalization user name and password without it the files are useless

Mate have you tried this non UK orange I suppose K750i to update via SEUS yet b4 you go and kill a phone?
If you update a UK phone the firmware downloaded and installed to the phone will be for that phone CDA number and region.... Who knows what will happen to another mobile that has a incompatible CDA.
Maybe it wont even flash... I think it wont... what would you use to flash this non UK orange phone.... Lighting bolt??
I havent got those files anyway.... Recommend unless another member of Esato knows any better that you wont enterprise this....

my fw before was R1L and i updated it to R1N and suddenly it wont boot up. what im trying to do now is to recover my phone by using the recovery mode in the SEUS. but i always get an error message. so if you know how to do a successful upgrade or a downgrade back to R1L, i would really appreciate it.

i found new bug...befor i upgrade to R1N i created folder in sounds with amr name it contain all amr files(recording sounds) befor i upgrade i can scroll and surf and play these files very easy but after i upgrade to R1N now it's too hard to scroll and surf and play these files the phone keep hanging and freezing only with these kind of files(amr).
so can somebody confirm this bug . or it's just my phone having this problem.

I found another bug. Please someone confirm this (R1N), as i have tested and confirmed with two phones.
Try sending any data mp3 songs or anything about 10mb+ or some 50+ files.
The data does not go in the memory stick, when i disconnect the data is just not there. However the same memory stick works fine with R1L

I get exactly the same problems when copying mp3's and java files across to my phone. I contacted SE about it and they replied saying that there is a problem with my phone and I should send it in for repair.
Rubbish! It was copying files fine until R1N.
I'm getting pretty fed up with SE and they're dodgy firmware upgrades.

Just successfully upgraded my O2 (UK) k750i to R1N. Can't see much difference but, when connected to my PC got new hardware message of W800??? Had to reinstall PC Suite before it was recognised. Is this normal?

@gsethI have that problem as well. The files are just not there after being copied.Another problem is when sending files using Bluetooth - the phone restart all the time. It's very irritating!I truly hope SE fixes there problems fast, otherwise I'll demand a new phone just to annoy them.

For all you boys thaty have upgraded to R1N you should do a settings reset after the phone as rebboted and you used it for a bit....
It is common of a after flash to need a settings reset not a full reset....

It's a bug on SEUS, wait until monday or tuesday and flash again !

Hi everyone,
I bought my debranded / unlocked K750i on ebay. I inmediately updated the software using the SonyEricsson Update Service everything went fine, I could use it without problems.
But my phone had installed chinese and some other asian languages plus english -of course- and I also wanted to have the spanish T9 so I could write SMS faster, so I decided to use davinci services after I read about them here on esato.
That was two months ago. Well the experience wasn't smooth AT ALL, the davinci crap deleted the asian languages, but actually left the chinese, also deleted the english T9, something that I DIDN'Twant, and at first left my cell phone unoperative 'cause I hadn't purchased the credit beforehand. (SHOULDN'T they warn you about this BEFORE letting you download and run their software???????)
I emailed them to let them know that I wanted the english T9 again, and basically they washed their hands!
And what I'm most concerned about now is that I want to update to the new firmware (R1N) using again the SEUS and I get a message on the SonyEricsson website telling me that "Your Operator doesn't allow this service"
Is my phone now "locked"???
Do I have to pay again to davinci?? Isn't this very abusive of them??
Why did they leave an "operator" code on my phone so the SEUS won't update it????
Anyone knows how can I update my phone without having to use the davinci crap again???

there is something strange with r1n35. I updated my phone at second day when it was released, its 125952_eu_1_cl, SEUS downloaded files
HL1_125952-EU1-MR2_000000_0000_R1N035 - 10 743 865
HL1_125953-EU4-MR2_000000_0000_R1N035 - 1 359 872
few minutes ago i deleted these files, connected my phone and run update one more time and SEUS started to download these files one more time with file names:
HL1_125952-EU1-MR2_000000_0000_R1N035 - 10 743 865
HL1_125953-EU4-MR2_000000_0003_R1N035 - 893 834
crc for first files are same, but second one has different file size, of course crc too. In service menu is only one different "content version", with first firmware PA19, and with new one - PA11.

I don't get it - people come here screaming all the time that something went wrong using DaVinci! im seriously peed off wid R1N ive lost 2 folders of mp3s and 1 folder with around 50 screensavers n im losin more files everytime i touch memory stick thru usb, its not on i was quite happy wid it till i realised me files were bein ate. how cud SE make such a mistake? wots the point of splashin out on a large m.s if nothin will stay put. i tink every1 shud complain, tiny bugs are ok but this is a joke

Have you tried a master reset, or reflash? Or reformat the memory stick?

I can say that davinci is no good because it was theire software that killed one of my phones...

ive 1 sandisk & 2 sony sticks and its happens on all 3 only since the upgrade so i doubt they need formating?, the update went perfect no trouble there so it wont need a flash and ive done master reset and no change
( has every1 transferd files fine after the update? note* the problem is only wen putting files onto the memory stick thru the usb, something is always missing wen i disconnect and its not the usual turn fone off and they return problem. i left the m.s out wen i done the update cud that be it? /
