I've never actually bought anything from there, but looked many times and know people who've bought digital cameras off them... They've been around for years, and are definitely legit. Can't comment on the service, although my mate never had a problem when he bought an Olympus Digital Camera off them.

Think its retails for $249 (check apple.com/us i think).....
Comes to about £130-140 rough conversion....

A point perhaps worth noting is that apple have improved the sound processor on the 6 gig version and also the battery life which is now quoted at upto 18hrs (from 12hrs), the latest 4 gig models also supports the improved battery life, but you may find your saving a few quid buying what is in fact older stock perhaps ? with the reduced battery life, now this may not be an issue at all but maybe worth checking.
4 Gig direct from apple you can also get it engraved I believe for free, with free shipping and the latest battery improvements all for £139.00

the US apple store WILL NOT ship anything outside the US. So only way around this is if you know someone in the US who can order it and then ship it on to UK. If they label it as a gift then you shouldnt have any worries with import tax either. If it isnt labelled as a gift ie. if you buy it off a legit company in the US, who are unlikely to be willing to lie on the customs form and say its a gift with a small monetary value when infact it isnt, then you will have to pay import taxes.
Also the shipping costs to uk mean that at the end of the day you only save a couple of quid. And also apple could be funny and refuse to honour the warranty on a us model that has been shipped to the uk.

EDIT: forgot to say the one advantage of gettin it from the US is it doesnt have the crap sound limiter on it that they have on the UK version that means i cant turn it up loud enough
very annoying! Plus definately make sure you get a new model with better battery life as the battery life on mine is pants

if your in a business and can get things for VAT Free www.pcwb.com do the pink one for 106.99 and all other colours are 124.99, but 106.99 for pink one isn't ba! And dont forget this one is brand new!!!

I own an iPod 4Gb... and its excellent, top quality and easy usage,... the only thing that I was dissapointed... is that the charger is not included, and u have to charge it via USB through the computer...
I guess the charger goes for $30 USD...
