Maybe he was planning on selling his phone, but it still is fishy, also I dont like the whole beg for a phone thing.
It pisses me off, when Im broke and dont have money for a phone I just suck it up and save until I can, Id like to keep my pride.
Also if your a 15 year old, your parents can provide it, you obviously have access to a computer and so on, so just suck it up, get a job, do anything besides beg for a phone on the internet.

i offeed 8£80 for a p800 when i had money, before i bought the a925
that was my hard earned cash fo 8 months, and i cant afford to wait that long for a phone
and thanks but i already have a load of sim cards, i will just use one of them
the reason im begging for a phone is because i dont have any money now, at all, and i need a phone for contacting friends and family

god only knos what the motorhome insurance covers, but i doubt it will cover my phone

Mobile home now is it. Whateva man lmao my brother had his fone robbed off him 2 wks ago luckily it was my first contract fone n i gave it him wen i got an upgrade n i neva transferd the insurance to me upgrade so its still covered. Got the claim form d oda day n d buggers want £25 for delivery costs lmfao cheeky sods d fone aint even worth dat today.

I'm a little confused..
If he has no money, PAYG sim cards, no phone, then if one of us kindly gave him a handset, or he got money to buy one real cheap, how would he be able to afford to call/text his family/friends? Surely he'd have no money to top it up?
Maybe you should just save your money.. you might need it someday.

Its also hard for young children getting killed abroad in countries suffering from internal conflicts, or children starving to death. I just think kids are getting too caught up in owning the latest phone etc, and should be appreciative of what they've got.

I agree with djkizliv. If he hasnt got any money then how can he top his phone. Also he says he has some sims, why doesnt he sell them and save that money. At the begining he says he wants someone to give him 1 with colour screen and gprs if poss, well id rather sell mine and have money myself coz he can live without a phone, if it was to keep a family alive abroad i would donate it. I am only 16 and all i get is £5 a week paperound coz i dont finish school for few weeks but i have had many phones and i currently use a nokia 7600 and have a £112 graphics for my pc and thats only coz i got a paperound!

Hmm... last time I checked AOL gives you free modem connections (start from 5 pounds a month) or you had internet in school.
Even if he was paying 16 pounds a month for broadband, what is he supposed to do, cancel the internet subscription to get the phone?
If he's begging so what? Does it affect you Yazan? Did you lose a leg?
Now you say there are people dieing of famine in third world countries but look, societies norms change from country to country.
In Indonesia, PCs are a luxury, where as here it's nothing special.
It's simple, if you dont have something to offer, too bad for him.
If you do, then ask questions, but dont start insulting.
(I imagine you'll say something like, I didn't insult him, but put it simply you implied he's an idiot that has no personal pride since he's begging)

I am merely stating that it is stupid for a 15 year old to beg for something as superfluous as a phone.
The internet statement, is only a peice of the puzzle, if you analyze his situation, internet access would be considered a luxury in his case.
Also I only stated the points that dont sound as logical, to show the ways that his case sounds fishy.
