and that's where the Grand Daughter steps in....
Posted by haynesycop
Don't even go there, my life has been put on hold far enough, once i start work that is it she can get on with it or get some home help, sounds harsh but my mum and i have had enough, we'd actually like a life someday. I'll stop ranting now.
Going to the supermarket on Wednesday was a mission, they moved everything around and you know what old people are like took an hour and a half and the place is tiny! Do you just pay rent and the bills are included? I was looking at flats and was wondering is there a specific name for places like that because from what i've seen it's the rent around £500 locally for a two bedroom flat plus bills.
Posted by fatreg
yeah all my bills are included but that's because I rent privately... a detached 4 bed house for £400 a month, and no bills
£550 is about right wifey, you'll need to find a good flat mate, and no I won't move in, but you can come live here with me....

I really don't think the guys mother does alot for him,
he doesn't eat I know she cooks for herself then he eats nibbles,
he looks a state really thin his skin reminds me of a ghost,
he works but has been of 7 weeks saying he has back trouble,
with all the mess he's in he's owes money galore, he's even had to cancel his bank account cos they keep taking all his cash out lol
he's got himself into this mess,
he's been working for 20 years at the same place and has nothing.
his Father used to tell him he should have atleast £20,000 by now but no he hasn't sadley his father passed away a few years ago.
the blokes a mess he's probaly blacklisted now due to non payments.
My Mother stopped buying me anything when I left School I got work here there and everywhere Agencys, Relatives buisnesses etc
But I believe your bills there priority number one and fun comes last always,
those shows like Spendaholics amaze me I dunno how the hell people could run up so much debts!
Let emm get on with it they will never learn
Btw alot of dollars there never seen one in it's glory
Posted by haynesycop
It's sad really when you think about it, i got into a little debt not a huge amount but enough to get my act together. Going to university and having thousands in student loans to spend on whatever didn't help. I was alot more sensible before then but got used to going into town in between lectures and buying whatever i wanted. I guess if i had moved away i could have learned to budget but it didn't happen. After this holiday it is time to get my head down and get saving, you reach a point where home life is unbearable but i'll plod along and eventually get my own place, you can't rely or anybody for anything in this world and you only get one chance life isn't a rehearsal. Have you started your work experience yet, working with the elderly is commendable, it really is seems abit daft though surely they should be sorting interviews for you instead?
Alot of $ indeed but this is a once in a lifetime holiday that i'll probsbly never have again so i'm going for it. It's like monopoly money though.

Aww you can't mock the eldary there so lovely,
I can't wait to work in the Charity shop next week.
they were gonna send me to a church to work and I turned that down
btw £400 for a 4 Bedroom house is very good Colin,
rented 1 Bedroom places go from £300 to £370 and bill none included.
Council properties tend to be cheaper but you gotta watch out for Neighbours from hell in the council estates.
once ive got some weeks customer service experience I hope the next step i'll get a job, then get a Grand or so quickley together and get a place,
Dene who looks after me wants us to get a Morgage so thats something set for the future
be nice if I came into some money though everything solved!

Some elderly people are lovely don't get me wrong, my auntie and uncle are quality people, however my nan is not a nice person to live with, visiting grandparents once in awhile and living with them are entirely different, believe me.
That is very good indeed £400, it'd be great to find something like that here but there isn't anything. I wouldn't want a flat mate, would do it on my own or not at all. If you can stay with your mate awhile longer while your working then £1k will come together quickly.
I'm going to open a savings account and put what i can into it, see what happens. Mum works for a kitchen company so pots and pans won't be an issue, kitchen will be the best place.

Ps, I think we all do silly things in the day and age but we learn from them,
I really didn't think I used to take my mom for granted though,
she was just Misses Bucket from Keeping up appearances,
but yes shes nearley 50 and so I guess she wants the rest of her life to get out there and do things she missed out on raising us kids up.
I think your mom will be heartbroken when you move out Laura you should stay there till 28 and then see what happens btw it allows you to save too
Colin how old were you when you moved out of your parents hope you think im not being nosey
Posted by fatreg
It's more than very good Kerry..
it's a f-ing bargain, but that's what family are for is it not?
Posted by haynesycop
I'll be moved out by 25 i think all being well which isn't bad at all. She may be gutted but she needs to learn to stand on her own two feet i refuse to stay and help her with bills when the time comes. People may think that is harsh but she has had the chance to move out and make a life and didn't take it. This is why i'm so adamant about sorting myself out because i don't want to end up in the same situation you know? That is a bargain and a half, £400, i'll get transferred and move to Dorset then if you don't mind?

Ive never had my Grandparents in my life so i'll take on boeard what you say
I used to work with such a loveley Eldary couple as a housekeeper,
it upset me so much when her husband died! we used to go out on outings and they'd buy me presents, I still keep intouch with the wife she sends me cards
Ive been buying bits as I go along for my flat,
got Tefal Pan set, Cutlery, Tea towels, Lamps, Kettle and Toaster.
next thing im gunna get is bathroom things towels and soap dishes just the small things are really essential,
My mom gave me a Medicine cabinet and matching mirror for the bathroom so I don't need those, just leaves the big things Sofa, tables, rugs hopefully i'll have a place with laminated floors in place
btw yeah interviews next week and I think I actually start at the store too,
Jobcentre wanted me to go into something else they keep trying to put me off retail odd really!
I mean ive worked in lots of places and this is something ive never really done properly so I think it would be a good role and something else to add to my jam packed CV already
Posted by haynesycop
Don't get me wrong i love them and they've done alot for me but there hard work. There is nothing wrong with retail i've done it for 7 years, yes people can be annoying and what not but that is life.
I've made good friends along the way and have had a laugh with the people i've worked with, when you think about it, most jobs are retail based.
Getting stuff for your place is a good idea it all adds up and you can forget about essentials, might start doing that myself actually. Ikea is alright for furniture, it isn't the best quality but for getting started you can't complain at the prices.
Posted by Miss UK
Of course it is Laura get down there and move in with him girl!
it will be cheaper sharing bills for the both of you
Maybe your mom can move in too till she gets a place in Bournemouth
a new start for all of you
and you will all be close aswell
I worked at Tesco for 3 weeks but I was a kid and I had other points of view back then, but now im older I wanna give it ago again, don't wanna work in Motors anymore or Warehouses even though they pay more. I just want a Job where im happy getting to deal with people and help them decide what they need + I wanna be doing things all the time not sitting down looking bored
I bought my Cutlery from IKEA really nice too for the price,
they have everything in there you can go bloomin mental
Yeah buy bits as you go along cos you will just need the bigger items when you have your property to buy

You are more than welcome to come here wifey, you know that!
but yeah come have a look about.. it's not all countryside round here!! I don't live in the middle of a village with 1 house and 3 cows!
but there is nowhere on earth where you can be on the beach, in the forest, on the coast and in a city all within 30 mins of each other....
quite simply, Dorset rocks!
Ouch, my head.
