gudjohnsen = shit
van nistleroy could have scored that anyday

Posted by haynesycop
so did i

unbelieveable

are defending just gets better and better

garcia had a good game aswell, gave a few balls away but who cares

happy days

Posted by MikLSP
Chelski couldn't have won THE Treble anyway as I don't see them in the FA Cup Final!

As for the scousers, I can't believe such a positively POOR team have got to the final!
However they put in a good performance to beat Chelsea even though it was a boring 10man defence all the time.

Oh, and that 'goal' was nowhere near over the line!!!

Posted by haynesycop
sour grapes

whether or not it went over the line, who cares

we deserved a bit of good fortune and we got it

as for defending, however you approach a game whether defensively or offensively

if you win, you win

simple as that

i am just over the moon

a good team beat a good group of individuals. anyone got bets on who'll be chelski manager next year?

Posted by Krubach
Mourinho?

Yeah. Chelsea is worth nothing. After all they just won the League.

Posted by dave_uk
@Krubach

It's funny how the whole of Portugal has become part of West London in the last few weeks! ¡)

@All

Liverpool were very lucky - never a goal - but Chelsea have only themselves to blame. Too casual for too long. But there's no doubt Chelsea are a far better side who will be at the top for years to come. Liverpool will get tonked by Milan, the luck can't go on forever!!

And to the Utd fan who's obviously never been to Old Trafford, have you seen how many goals Van Nistelrooy's actually scored this season - less than Gudjohnson!

Ah well, you've all missed the real significance of this result: if Liverpool do win it (yerright) and UEFA let Everton in as well, Spurs will qualify for Europe, even if we finish eighth - come on you Lilywhites!

Dave (the Yid)

Posted by rimmer5
You say we will get tonked by Milan, but everyone has said that about Juventus and Chelsea.

After all Chelsea were the favourites. anything can happen in the final and we have already proved we are worthy of winning it.

Posted by PeterKay
Being a Man Utd fan, i hate seeing liverpool win usually.

But, beating chelski made me very happy....

Good luck Liverpool... but AC Milan will be the Champions again

Posted by haynesycop
@rimmer5

couldnt agree more, everyone said we would get beat by juventus and chelsea, yet we are in the final by pure determination, excellent defending and most importantly

TEAM WORK

i am delighted to be in the final, i would love for us to win it, having beaten both chelsea and juventus i am confident that we have a real chance

@peterkay

i think you have dissappointed alot of people, only kidding

it could be alot worse, he could support arsenal or chelsea

Posted by slattery69
theyve done well in europe liverpool dull as dish water to watch mind you.
i hope in a way milan dont get to the final as it wont be much of a spectical unless you like to watch good defending (which having watch italian football for years i can apprecaite)
for a supposed best of the best comp it needs to be an open attacking affair to show off football at its best. milan liverpool will be like last years final where they should have started with penalties. neither of those to will attack for fear of lossing a goal, psv liverpool would be a more intresting final more watchable for the neutral anyway

@batesie Nice one, im still wondering why they paid 24mil for him, he only had one good season. Cisse was the top scorer in France for the last 5 years i think.

I agree with you. But i do not include myself in that group.
I've been a Chelsea fan for almost 15 years now.
Much time before Vialli went to PLAY in Chelsea (not to coach)...

Anyway, Milan will kick everyone's a**.

to true as the club he came from were prepared to sell to juve for 11mill.
cisse was also overpriced at 13mill seems that if your a french footballer your value is hugely inflated beyond your talent for some reason, just cause henry viera and a few others are great footballers doesnt make every player in the french league great

I think you've forgotten the most important ingredient in your triumph - LUCK! Having just seen again, the goal-that-never-should-have-been, I can't see that Liverpool fans have much to crow about, other than an excellent defensive performance. You failed to score a legal goal in 180 minutes (and then some!) and yet somehow got through to a final that you are bound to lose, even more so because you have already had the outrageous luck to beat a poor Juventus side and a frankly superior Chelsea side (no arguments though that Drogba is not worth a fraction of £24m!).

Back in your box, Liverpool fans - if by some miracle of the ghost of Bob Paisley you do manage to beat Milan, it will still be unworthy because you didn't beat Chelsea!

@daveuk why are Juventus a poor side?? top of serie a.
it was a goal the ref gave it, and thats final. anyway cech should have been sent off and baros would have scored the penalty

Posted by JK
maybe he would have missed!!!

AC is soooo flipin lucky!!

to be fair baros could have been sent off as easily for high feet dangerous play can you tell me the differnece between baros challenge on cech and drogbas on valdes
were the ball was over the line or not doesnt really matter chelsea had 90 mins to score and they didnt so liverpool go through be it with luck or whatever noone remembers once the trophys won
i just hope livepool and milan dont bore us all to death

Posted by rimmer5
Baros couldnt have got sent off he reached the ball first and got blatently brought down by cech. whereas drogba didnt get the ball did he?? and he touched the keeper with his feet and baros didnt!

everyone is just jealous because were in the final

na na na na na

keeper brought baros down, referee either had to give us a penalty and send the keeper off, or let the goal stand and let chelsea continue with 1o men

what would chelsea rather have had 10 men on the pitch and a goal down

or

a goal down with 11 men on the field and a chance to score

they had chances and they didnt take them

simple as that

Posted by slattery69
you dont need to make contact drogba made no contact its about intent how many times did the ref give a fol for high feet in the milan psv game.
all im saying is its wasnt a definate penalty it could have easily been a pen or classed as a foul on the keeper esp in a european match in the premier league you can get away with high feet a lot more than with european refs.i m sure cech would say hands were up to protect his neck from baros raised boot.
having said that it not that important as chelsea knew they had to score and didnt/couldnt so liverpool make the final and good luck to them

Posted by haynesycop
good luck is all i wanted to hear

thank you

i mean there is an english team in the final and that is a great acheivement

i m neither a liverpool or a chelsea fan ( a boro fan for my sins) so i was just pleased as a fan of football that the english clubs have done so well in europe this season all of them for that matter arsenal man u newcastle etc
i hope liverpool go on a win it as well

Posted by haynesycop
i hope we win it would be so good

i remeber when houillier was in charge and we won the treble, i went over to see the home coming, the atmosphere was amazing, thats one day i will never forget

brought a tear to my eye

hopefully i will get to see another, even if it is only one trophy, it beats all of the others put together

Posted by slattery69
bit of bad news for liverpool just been announced even if they win the champions league only the top four teams in the premier league will qualify for next seasons comp.
so looks like they could win it and not be in it next season bolton or everton getting the final 4th spot by the looks of it

Posted by haynesycop
oh well, thats a shame, but if we win i will be on a high for about 12 months so it wouldnt bother me

if we lose then i will be gutted but hey thats the way the cookie crumbles, you just have to take in on the chin

anyway i suppose it will be nice for everton to have a chance, i would love to see how they get on

they have done well this season (that was hard to say)

Posted by JK
liverpool will lose...

Posted by brix25
Never much cared for Pool but it would be quite ironic if they win the final...two decades after the stadium disaster in Belgium which saw them banned from European competition.

Posted by soichiro
as much as we hate them scousers, i'll be rooting for them tonight. you'll never walk alone mates!
