There must be a free alternative for WebViewer & PocketWeb. Esteemed esato members, could you please help?

I found this trial version of it called webq. The address is: http://republika.pl/melanrz/webq.jar once the trial ends just download the file again to carry on using. Think its free (not sure because i have unlimited free gprs).

Hmmm... Good find @zippy. I'm using webq right now on my ngage. Its good but could be much better!
Posted by mrao
Is it better than Netfront or Opera? ..
Posted by whizkidd
Nooo!! They're much much better! In a different league altogether! It would be unfair comparing webq to them. Its a basic browser with very limited abilities.

You could always use the oceanlake wap webviewer

How?

http://gateway.oceanlake.com
@mrao the biggest disadvantage of these java apps is you cant download anything since java cant access memory so thats a big damper.

Is there one that would work well with the S710 ?
Posted by whizkidd
Not many options for the S7 too. Webviewer and Webq are the only ones i've come across.
Posted by REO
how do you download theses applications to the phone once on your PC?
Posted by whizkidd
Why don't you download it direct to your phone? I am not sure about the procedure to sent it from pc to phone though.

Either by BlueTooth, InfraRed or Data cable and using a file transfer software such as FMA - http://fma.sourceforge.net or K700DateiManager from http://k700.hitziger.net (ought to work with most SE phones)

I downloaded the WebQ browser and discovered it's nothing more than a toned down version of WebViewer 4.0.
It serves it's purpose though and it's free so who am I to complain.

Anyone who tryed mobibrowser?

I've been using webq since I can't use webviewer, but now the trial has ended and even if I delete it and download it again and reinstall it, it recognizes my phone and says I have to purchase a licence on handago.com but there's nothing about Webq on handago...
Anybody knows what to do?
