welcome and nice pics

Posted by darksyde
arghh friggin dvd player on the base unit looks awful!

Posted by nickorooster
Ok, I haven't got as much as Vein, and im 3 years older. I feel ashamed :-s.

Anyways, no pics as of yet, but here goes:

Philips HDD120 mp3 player
Philips SBC HN110 Noise cancelling headphones
SE p900
Xbox (with Live)
A nice comp (running nicely)
Logitech z-640 speakers (cheap, but nice)
Palm m100

Thats it for gadgets, but I reckon I hold a trump card.

I work for EA Games. I sit in an 800 pound chair (price, not weight) and play games all day. And right now im working on Battlefield: Modern Combat multiplayer. So basically I play battlefield all day with 23 friends and get paid for it. 40 hrs a week!

Well, thats me showing off. A rare sight I know, but I guess the thread's title implied it.

Nick

did you have a mould of your ear made for those earphones themarques?

Posted by Kwiksta
no offence meant hear, but what are these ue10c's? why are they worth so much?

Posted by solidsingh
they cancel alll noise around you, its like having a wire connected directly to your brains sound input lol

Posted by Kwiksta
are they really worth that much though?

Posted by themarques
Like SolidSingh said its like having a set of speakers (Bose) attached to your head, Noise cancellation is really amazing and I have nearly been bumped a few times to be honest.

They take a custom ear mould of your ear so the fit is perfect and you cant go wrong..these are used by musicians and artist when on stage...sadly I use mine on the tube..

Posted by solidsingh
you must be rich to spend that much on earphones, what do you do?

Nah I am far from rich, I dont do much either to be honest. Just the usual..like everyone else 9-5. But yeah well worth the money for those headphones.

Posted by pleber
Well, its been fun, but I'm sorry to say I have to put you all to shame... Heres a scan of the reciept of my first P.C. - Take a look at the spec. on this baby...

And as if that wasn't enough - you can upgrade!

That's right.. 4MB RAM only £100!!!!

Bet you all feel rather foolish with your PSP's and your iPods...

1995 nice year, if I was you I would I have bought a nice bottle of wine and it probably would have been more in value than the pc is know...

Come to think of it where is your pc now?

Posted by masseur
1995 was a good year. In fact my current email address comes from that year and I have been using it ever since.

as interesting as that PC spec is, my first PC was a 286 with 1mb memory and 20mb "stepper" hard drive in 1989 and though I don't have a printed receipt any more it was not so much different from that price

mind you before that I had all sorts of Commdore PET (pretty much the original PC) and Tandy TRS-80

still, seeing such an invoice is definitly very interesting and quite nostalgic
