It is possible. But you can browse only wap sites. Debu, its the trick of wapping via the airtel live settings.

Nothing much of a trick really. Just use the live settings for browsing as you do with mobile office. It may not connect at first, but when you get connected, it is as good as mobile office.

have a T630 and am able to get connected. but am not able to browse any sites, infact, there is no data transfer happening!! can anybody help? by the way, i have airtel prepaid, could this be a reason as airtel does not allow GPRS access other than its wap site?

airtel offers web gprs on postpaid only..at least in bombay...although i believe they offer it on prepaid in some circles...standard wap access will not allow you to use your pc to browse www sites

Call hutch and ask whether it is a full gprs plan or a wap only plan. You won't be able to surf the net on pc through a wap only plan.

with hutch..most certainly not...although i believe..but am not too sure..that this possibly can be done on Airtel..frankly im quite happy paying 199 pm for unlimited web access...so i couldnt care less..but it sure could be helpful to users in circles where airtel charges much more for gprs

Airtel gives free GPRS connectivity in some circles, on request. try talking to online assistance at 121 or send SMS. I got this on k700i last week and it works fine.
