When i try to go to a non-wap site, it says 'your client is not allowed to view the requested subject' does anyone have settings that will allow me html access? I have tmobile.

The T610 can only view wml and xhtml pages.

Can you access Esato html lite?

Yes

Which html site are you referring to? An example? The html capability of your phone is very limited.

Like wiz said, the phones whibh support xhtml can show basic html pages. But it cannot show complex pages, with scripts, frames, etc. If u want to brows large html pages ure 3rd party browser like webviewer. But as far as i know its a painfull job getting the phone to go through full html pages!

there's a trial version of webviewer that they will send to your phone number from handango.com.

and u can get webviewer and many other browsers, email clients, apps and games from wap.getjar.com directly to ur phone.

Getjar doesnt let me dl stuff

What u mean? Did u get to the site? Did the site identified ur phone as t610? click change filter and then select all models. Then it should work. Try www.tagtag.com too.

I dont know the html capability of t610 but if you want to access html sites , try putting the internet apn instead of the wap one.

@radarblip, the wap apn doesn't seem to be the problem. He can access Esato html lite.
Posted by namal
Will u please tell me what APN means?
Posted by radarblip609

the basic difference between wap and gprs is that wap is a timed connection to the internet (billed by time) whereas data (gprs) is a permanent connection (billed by throughput, not time). If you use the wap apn, your internet use will be charged per second, not per kilobyte.
GPRS can be much cheaper than wap, but has nothing to do with browsing per se.
You can use a wml browser (optomised for wap 1.0 protocol) or xhtml browser (optomised for wap 2.0 protocol) on either a wap or a gprs connection, just like you can use internet explorer regardless of how you connect to the internet (dialup, broadband or wireless).

you're on T-Mo right? you might need to add "T-Zones unlimited" to your account for $5 more a month (in the US, that is) to connect to the web. then try using WebViewer or whatever program again.
