Guys im looking for a Nokia Vertu, or Ascent model. Not bothered about condition. Im sure Mustu will come along soon in this thread!
If anyone know where I can get one (besides ebay as most people have 0/1 rating selling a Vertu) and im not sending £1000's via paypal to the USA etc.
Thanks

Nokia dont make the Vertu, Vertu do, lol

i was always under the impression it was made by nokia?
i know it uses the Nokia UI.

Frank Nuovo is the head designer and Vertu are a subsidery part of Nokia, their parent company, so yes it is essentially made by Nokia.
Any ideas where I can get one ladies and gents?
Three people emailed me back from Ebay all saying I cant collect which as good as means they have no phone to sell....fraudsters more thank likely!

plenty of shops had them in dubai,
but they are all brand new, so you best hope you sold your TT for a fair whack!!

They sell them at goldsmiths in birmingham by me, but i never really took any interest.....

Guys this has been said many times. The Vertu's in harrods and selfridges are £2K and above, im looking for a second hand one.
Plus the people in Harrods know nothing about them, they tend to be pretencious idiots who only sell them because they know "who" to sell them to! The guy i spoke to didnt even know what networks they work on!
My search continues...

Do you have a website or the price for a Nokia ascent, and any details of where I could come and collect in person from anywhere in Europe as I would prefer cash collection, aving on your credit card fees also.

Sounds like a fraud to me...
Be careful Jiggy

No worries mate spotted him a mile away...just wanted to see how dumb he really was...but thanks for the warning bro!
Posted by Jensy
would it be any more suspicious if he was to walk up to you and open his jacket offerng various goods, such as cats and human lungs!!!! lol
Posted by JiggyJaggy
Ummm that would worry me seeing as im after a NOkia Vertu, not catwoman with super lungs!
Posted by Jensy
well what with all these new features on phones, why not make a feline phone which doubles as a breathing apparatus!!!!
p.s Ur best bet would to go into Harrods or Selfridges in central London. That is if you want to chalk out for a new one.

but its SOOOOOOOOOOO expensive... why would u spend so muhc on it? are u rich?
what if u dropped it... lol
Posted by fatreg
you would spend so much as not all phones are made out of gold and platinum keypads!?
If you dropped it i reckin it wouldnt matter, but i dont plan on nuying one so i can test that theory!!

Lets face it, if you could afford one of those it would be fully insured anyway.

what is the "conciege service"??
That guy that posted u to sell a vertu is such a pr*ck!!
Whos supposed to believe that "87" at the end of his email isnt his year of birth? What an idiot!!
Posted by below24
like you can ring the service up and order eggs from mongolia and the will do that S*it.
Its mad, the amex centurion card has that also.

How about I just let you both be my concierge's when I get my Vertu! thats fair!
Posted by Debu
@Jig: best of luck@ I hope you find what you like
Though did you consider buying a regular Nokia (say a 3310 or something), and getting a gold Plated cover with Platinum plated keys (or whatever you like) Made at your local Jewellers? It may work out cheaper. Infact, you should get in touch with Mark Morrow, I remember he did some Plated Stylii a while back, He may have some idea as to who to contact.

Naaa, but Im happy to be your chauffer until you get rid of the TT.
Would do me nicely actually, off to live in sunny Spain in 18 months time.
Posted by JiggyJaggy
Getting the coated fascia's is a good idea, but I really want to have the real McCoy for the feel of how well the phone is built.
@ Mike: I have sold the Audi TT so im back to my Oyster card now, so you can chauffeur my bus/trains if you like though!

Right guys I have finally found a Vertu Ascent. Does anyone know if it will work with a "3" sim card, seeing as it uses O2's network as a platform.
Posted by Mike.P®
I doubt it very much, the phone needs extra hardware to be able to cope with 3 .. 3 only uses O2 if the user is out of area and it "downgrades" the service to be able to do it.
Posted by themarques
It wont because the USIM has 3 frequencies and the vertue has only 2. So you will need to either got on 02...but most if the new usim from 3 dont work with 2g phones anymore.
Posted by JiggyJaggy
bugger so I have a beautiful phone and 1000 xnetwork mins for £2 a month
Posted by Merc_Man
1000 Xnet mins for £2?!?!?
How the hell have you managed that matey!!??
Posted by JiggyJaggy
"3" tariff...a lil hook up from a good friend who rules the roost at "3"
Posted by Mike.P®
Well seeing as you cant use it with your "antique" phone I will give you double for the sim .. thats a good profit in the normal world
Posted by JiggyJaggy
Its actually £2 per month...so you owe me £24 matey!
