K700i Signal Bar Colours?

Posted by imacken
Why do I get blue bars sometimes, and Orange bars at other times on the signal strength?
Sorry to be so stupid!

Posted by Qoastro
Could be that you're using different modes like "outdoors", "normal", "handfree" etc...

Posted by JK
Hi

it should be the strength of the signal your phone is recieving...

blue - strong signal
orange - weak
red - no signal

Posted by govigov
Green means good signal and hence taller bars. Red means weak signal and hence shorter bars. Yellow and orange comes in between.

Posted by Rokin#128
Yep, signal strength!

5, 4 & 3 bars = blue
2 bars = orange
1 & 0 bars = red

Posted by govigov
Green, not blue! ;-)

Posted by k4m!k4ze
@govigov - Its NOT green, its blue

Posted by chili
@govi - It's blue on the K700i, bro. Is it green on the K500i?

Posted by JK
its BLUE... i think....
no its BLUE!!!

mmmm this is the weirdest question posted is this guy joking???

I got one,, who knows why there are numbers 1-9 + 0 on the keypad??

Posted by aulason
that's BLUE!

Posted by whizkidd
I think it is.

Posted by JK
Can you get customiseable ones???

I want black..

Posted by whizkidd
Customized signal bars! That might be possible on S60 phones.

Posted by govigov
It is green for me! :-) i'm lookin at it right now.

Posted by Qoastro

I thought that he meant that all the bars were in one colour all the time. Anyway the signals strengh is the thingtha decides what colour it is.
Oh btw: On my Z1010 my theme determines what colour it would be... I have black right now...

(Just realised that they're always black on mine even with my orange/pink theme:P)

I have a friend who is puzzled over the same question with his Nokia 6210.

Posted by blayv
I thought 6210 have monochromatic lcd. Anyway, there's no such thing as stupid question, only stupid answer.

This message was posted from a K500

smokin the greens hey... what do they call weed in india...?

Well, as the apparent idiot who made the original posting, I thank the people who gave me the answer, i.e. it's blue for high signal, and orange for low.
To the people who seem to only want to take the p***, try to be more tolerant. Not everybody can be as intelligent as you - please understand this.
Seriously though, I'm glad I got the answer on this, as my previous phone used to show other networks signal strength in a different colour if I couldn't receive a signal from my own provider.
Thanks.

Posted by whizkidd
Can we know which phone was that?

Wha...???

Posted by Qoastro
Now I finally understand.... I thought you meant signal sound strengh.... Ah I see now that you mean signal from operator strengh. Sorry if my answers seemed a bit confusing.
Anyway on the Z1010 the colours are:
(from bad to good)
0-1: Red
2 :Yellow
3-5:Blue

Hey cheers!

Well mr IMACKEN

If you had a phone that would tell you the signal strength of another network and u tawt that it was simalar then .... maybe the Q is relevant...

Posted by govigov
lets settle this once and for all

here it is green

pic taken by three year old webcam, pls excuse quality.

@govigov
I have green too. But maybe the K700 differs from K500 and T630. Maybe K700 makes you slightly colorblind

Posted by whizkidd
T230 users are colorblind too then!

Posted by k4m!k4ze
@govi - i'm guessing you posted that pic more to show the theme your using than the signal bar's colors

Posted by govigov
I insist it was for signal bars. **angel with wings**

Posted by Qoastro
If anyone is interested the T630 has green as top-colour. Just in case you didn't know

so what colour is the battery bar..icon.

Posted by mamba
for k700, battery's green and signal is blue

I think k500 is green for signal

Posted by JK
so then green signal blue battery???

Posted by leerichards
Waving my phone (K700i) about to get the signal strength to change

1 bar Red
2 bars Orange
3/4/5 bars Blue

Battery is full strength at the moment and is therefore green...!

When full the battery bar is green on both the Z1010 and T630. Then they get some wierd yellow colour and then red.
I haven't had the chance to see how the bar is when the battery is empty, because my phone won't start then.

Posted by govigov
Batt is green till half, then yellow, orange, another shade of orange + red, deep red and then nothing but outline for no batt. (In my phone atleast.)

Posted by Qoastro
Yeah that's about what I said but you just included detailes
