I would recommend getting a bluetooth dongle instead.
A lot better and can be used with any bluetooth phone.
Best place to get one would be www.ebuyer.com around £15

itfs it to trasfer pics etc to and from your pc a BT dongle is indeed the best idea.
but i hope for your sake your on broadband as the mobile suite is about 100mb big!!

does changing the software from orange to the original samsung software damage the phone in any way?
i just want to know in case it erases my photos or saved messages and i need to back them up before hand.
can anyone let me know.
also where to get the cable and software to do it. ebay has a lot of cables but i'm unsure. fatreg you said you could send the software if i had broadband - would this be ok?
