Vodafone comes to Czech Republic!

"British telecommunication operator Vodafone, number one in the world, is finalising the purchase of shares of Czech operator Oskar Mobil a. s., according to several independent sources in both Oskar and Vodafone. The deal is supposed to be announced later this week or in the beginning of the next one. None of the official sources in PR departments of every side (Oskar, TIW, Vodafone) was willing to comment on this issue.

Oskar Mobil is the youngest mobile operator in Czech republic, only five years on the market. The biggest mobile operator Eurotel is subsidiary of the dominant telco operator Český Telecom, the second one is T-Mobile from the T-Mobile group."
