Yup. I dont think anybody has mentioned this. Go to notes and create one. In there under the \"more\" key you will find an option, view in standby mode. And voila! The note you created is now your wallpaper. I have got some of my exam dates staring at me now.

Been using that since day one...very helpful to remind you about the forgettable stuff...what would be the purpose of notes otherwise?? Anyways the bug is that once you put a note on standby screen you cant remove it unless you restart phone

@clank...I just checked while typing this..The phone doe'snt need to be restarted to hide the note from standby. Perhaps, its a bug on some firmware versions.

Hmmm...something very strange just happened. Apparently the option to hide the note has now appeared on my phone as well, no firmware upgrade or master reset was done and yet very mysteriously the option has appeared from nowhere. Anyways good for me This issue was discussed on esato a bit here

this is a features offered since Ericsson T68i
but this also show there's a lot of new SonyEricsson user now compare to a few years back.

Posted by clank
Yup this is an old feature which i used quite liberally in my t610...then i was shocked to see there isnt an option to "hide note in standby" on k7 but hey its back now...magic

For the SE gurus, its old stuf but still new for many new users. Good work and thanks to share the knowledge.

Does not seems to work on my T630

@clank, i have the same problem as you had. after adding a note to the standby screen there is no option to turn it back off!
first, where should i found that item? in the More menu of the desktop or the Notes menu?
and second, can you write what you did, the Mage clank?!
