cannot reply to SMS - Esato archive

I have one person who texts me regularly from a Sagem, to whom I can't reply directly from my P910.

My phone recognises the name when I receive an SMS but to reply I have to "create new" and retrieve details from my address book.

Anybody help?

they probably have an option on their phone called "request reply" for some reason orange doesnt like that and won't let you reply straight away. get the person to turn it off on their phone.

I second that. The option on their phone may be "Reply via Same Service Centre".

Someone I knew had that turned on and it caused this - by choosing reply it tried to send the text via their network's service centre which was obviously not allowed for other networks.

I'm on Orange... she is on O2.

Rough idea where she might find that setting on here phone. I've never had a Sagem.... and she is clueless.
