I ordered mine from play.com but the item recieved is very slightly different to the models pictured on the powerball website. If ordering I would goto the offical site www.powerballs.com. Ive just ordered one from there (250hz pro). If you choose a powerball with flashing neon lights, then the max rotating speed is reduced by about 5-7%.
All that right hand wrist action might be useful after all

Its easier starting it without the string, just use your thumb to speed it up a few tims, takes a bit of practice but once done you will never need the string again.
