All the newaccessories:

London – The applications and uses for Sony Ericsson mobile phones are expanding significantly this year as the company introduces a range of new accessories. Bluetooth™ wireless technology is put to use for easy communication with home entertainment systems and higher quality, more reliable headsets, imaging is improved with a new camera flash, and handsfree gets easier with new kits for portable and car use. All are introduced by Sony Ericsson today and will be making their public debut at CeBIT in Hanover later this month:

Bluetooth™ Media Center MMV-200

This innovative device allows you to enjoy and share pictures, video clips and music files on home entertainment systems by transferring content that is stored in your mobile phone to your TV or hi-fi. Plugged into your hi-fi, the MMV-200 transfers music wirelessly from your phone to the sound system; plug it into your TV to share shots and footage with friends and family on a big screen. For large amounts of images or music, you can slot in any memory card – from your phone, PC or digital camera – and use your phone as a remote control to flip through pictures or search tracks. Best of all, pictures and sound run simultaneously and the MMV-200 will communicate with more than one Bluetooth™-enabled phone, so you can invite your friends to share their favourite images and music too.

Phone Flash MXE-60

The built-in picture light that is standard with the latest Sony Ericsson camera phones is handy but a flash is needed for taking true quality shots in dark locations. The Flash MXE-60 simply attaches to the phone and emits a strong flash when the phone’s shutter button is pressed, enabling excellent quality shots with no trace of red-eye.

Music Cable MMC-60

Enjoy your favourite phone-stored music in stereo by using the Music Cable MMC-60 to connect your phone to your hi-fi. If you have a large collection of digital music files, you can transfer them to your phone’s memory stick, connect your phone to your hi-fi and enjoy them through the speakers.

Stereo Portable Handsfree HPM-70

As well as offering handsfree call handling, the Stereo Portable Handsfree HPM-70 allows you to enjoy phone-stored music in stereo between calls. Comfortable and ultra-light silicon earpieces isolate the sound, delivering premium quality and superior bass. And you need never miss a call again as the music pauses when a call is coming in.

Advanced Car Handsfree HCA-60

Excellent sound quality characterises the Advanced Car Handsfree HCA-60. Just put your phone in the holder to handle calls, charge your phone and listen to phone-based music in stereo through your car speakers. The holder also allows you to attach your phone to the car’s external antenna for better reception.

Akono™ Headset HBH-608

The sleek, stylish Akono™ Headset HBH-608 applies the latest Bluetooth™ technology to deliver excellent sound quality and a very stable connection. Up to 8 hours’ talk time and up to 250 hours’ standby combined with light weight and superior ergonomics makes this headset a must for comfort, quality and reliability.

Akono™ Headset HBH-662

The useful Info display with the Akono™ Headset HBH-662 keeps you informed on incoming calls; who is calling, the caller’s number and, when you hang up it tells you how much time you spent on the phone. Talk and standby time of up to 5/150 hours make sure that you never have to be out of reach, although you can also check the headset’s battery status on the display, so you’ll never run out of power when you least expect it.

Sony Ericsson Bluetooth™ headsets work with most brands of Bluetooth™-equipped phones.

Fast port
This year Sony Ericsson is introducing a complete product portfolio of mobile phones and accessories that incorporate Fast port, a new, smaller system connector to enable faster transfer speeds and more functionality, which is ideal for the new products that handle music and images and other data.

Will the Stereo Portable Handsfree HPM-70 work with k700, s700, v800, etc??' It looks much better than the one that comes with k700

I don't think so. SE seems to have come up with a new system connector. Well... I guess there goes all my accessories... time for an evolutionary change.

but maybe there will be an adaptor that makes it possible those things look classy

My favourite is the Music Cable MMC-60
Imagine being at a patry where the music is crap; Wack your phone in to the stereo and play your own favourite songs all night long.

Great idea that is.

Dont forget flash is a true flash and not like a torch.

Off course! I do that all the time, but with that cable I only have to bring the phone (Oh, and the cable...)

The Media Center MMV-200 is for me!

MMV 200 is BIG!!!

Posted by knight4led
hopefully all of these new headsets will lower the price of the current headsets. I am in need of a new bluetooth headset and I am thinking about the hbh-300

Posted by goldenface
I will have the MMV 200 for me please. Oh and seeing how it's my birthday soon I wouldn't mind the nice flash too. Thank you kindly.

Posted by Davo_169
the flash had better not be bloody expensive, id hopefully say around 10 to 15 pounds would be a good price

can anyone suggest a good headset for K500i? thanks.

Posted by Draqula
To angel:

You don't have many options, cause K500 doesn't have bluetooth. HPM-20 (stereo), HPS-20 and HPB-20 (the basic one) are your options.

i really dont see the point in the headset with the display, that is so stupid. and the media centre needs a hdd and ethernet

Posted by mikemike_81
HPM-70 is my favorite. Just because I can have my own Koss! HPM-70 uses an old Sony Minidisc solution. Old but good.

Posted by mikemike_81
I dont think its stupid with a display. After a few hours with the headset on your ear it hurts. With my headset on the table and the phone in the pocket you still can see who's calling. But the talk lenght info that is stupid. Who gives a F**k now days.

Posted by Grimslade
@mikemike--you've got the HBH-662 in your equipment list, but I thought it wasn't out yet. What gives?

Re: the info display--it's quite useful if you wear your headset on the lanyard (I do). Just glance down and decide whether to even put the thing on your ear... (I want an HBH-662. Can't wait...)
