drool. Memory card expansion, 2 megapixel camera - it's the k700 the way it shoulda been. Now I don't have to buy an s700 (which i was gonna do for the camera), since I prefer the candybar form factor.
Awesome. Much better jump than the t610 to t630!
Posted by whizkidd
Good choice! But have you seen the W800?
Posted by *Jojo*
How does this fone differ from the
K700i model Posted by vegetaleb
from k700?
-more memory
-more colors
-full screen videos
-sms mp3 tones
-animated bars in themes
-2 mp camera
-Rds radio(I never used the radio in k700 anyway)
Do you know when SE will put the virtual demo on their website?
Posted by Arne Anka
You forgot:
- autofocus
- Red eye reduction
- Video and picture editing capabilities
- More memory = Memory card support.
- Camera settings as on S700 (white balance, spot metering etc.)
- Nokia UI API (guess makes it possible to run Java apps ment for Nokia phones).
and probably many many more things I also have forgot.

a few questions about it:
* will it u be able to zoom in to a picture once taken?
* how much is it expeceted to cost on pays u go, when its 1st released? (in £)
* will this and the w800 be the top models or is there a new model expected to be released above ie s750?
* people dont seem happy about the fact it has digital zoom and not optical... did the s700 have optical for people to be unhappy? Also when zooming with this, do u have adjust the resolution and make it smaller for you to be able to zoom like the k700??
* what type of memory does the k750 have?? and what type does the w800 have?? Could you go through on each memory type, as it confuses me, ie which is cheaper, most capacity etc
...and last of all, plzzzzzz help answer my questions,

actually red eye reduction is only available if you have the add-on flash, because k750 still only has a "torch" instead of a normal flash and therefore red eye reduction isn't possible....
but if i'm correct you can't get it with a normal torch so no point in that anyway, lol

hehe, this thread is losing to the popular W800 thread

Correct. But still even with add-on this is a unique feature of K750.

Does anyone know what the centre button above the joystick does?

There is a PictureDJ sofware for picture editing. SO I guess the answer is yes.

Price: around 430-650 EUR.
Release date: Q2 (May/June).

Until SE announces next models (onlu SE knows when), this will be the top of the line.

No. People are comparing with some Asian phonws, wich have or will have 2x optical zoom (but they are a bigger in size than K750).

On video clips I have seen it does not seem so. But I'm not 100% sure about that.

Both phones have arounf 40 MB of internal memory. But also supports Memory Stick Duo Pro cards currently up to 2 GB (before christmas 4 GB is expected).

On K750 it pops up the activity menu.

That is an application programing interface and probably means that Java apps written for Nokia phones can be used on K750 and W800 as well.

@arne anka:
why is the red eye reduction only a k750 function, if i'm correct the new flash also works with w800 and the red eye reduction isn't anything more than a series of quick flashes...
Posted by ares
Its precisely those "quick flashes' that make the eye react to avoid red eye effect ;-)
Posted by vegetaleb
The w800 will be available in august/september and will cost more than a k750,it's normal when you know that a memory stick 512mb alone cost 150$!!!
So get back to the real one...the K750

I only mentioned what it says on SE site. It only mention red eye reduction for K750. But not for W800.
It may happen that with W800 you can only get a single flash per picture and not the rappid pre-flashes needed to reduce red eyes.
After all, K750 is marketed as an imaging and W800 as a music phone. So I expect K750 to have some imaging features W800 does not have as W800 will have some music features K750 does not have.
In reality I realy don't know.

It uses passive autofocus, which means: by continuosly analyzing the picture, the lens gets moved into a position where the picture shows its optimal sharpness.

Well one of the most demanding feature thats in use these days in the cellular communication industry is one feature thats yet missing on most SE phones...I'm still quite disappointed with SE on not bringing this out...
Its the Flight Mode feature thats available in N'gage/6630 and some other companies apart from Nokia...
There are times you want to use the features of the phone without the actual communication part..Seems SE has still missed the Bus yet again...
regards
DJ
Posted by whizkidd
Are you sure the Ngage has flight mode? I used it for weeks and never stumbled across this feature!
Posted by govigov
There is that option in w800!

hey guys did you saw the superb game that will come integrated in the k750???

i am going to get the k750i because i want to use the videoDJ software that comes with it. I just wonder how powerful it really is.
Posted by Yanosh94
I read in se site the battery are the same of w800 they are write 9hr in talktime but they are announced 15hr for W800. And W800 haven't videoDJ ??? and we can send realisation via mms ???

Posted by draak1
Yanosh94
You can see the menu in action it is bit differend than the K700i menu.
Posted by Aikonoklast
Does it now have CCD sensor, and not the crappy CMOS sensor on all previous camphones? I wish they would just graft the imaging module of their cybershot U20 into their cameraphones.
Posted by mib1800
9 hrs talktime for K750. whoa!!. If I'm not mistaken T610/K700 specs also says 6-9 hrs talktime.
I must say SE talktime spec must be the most exagerated (bordering on ludicrous).

I noticed that with the new connector on the K750i and W800i etc.........you are not able to charged the phone while the handsfree's attached to the phone! Can anyone confirm??
Posted by govigov
You can always charge via usb and leave the connectors free.

I know I will sound like one of those who is never happy. I like the K750, and I like it a LOT. But I wished... Well I wished it was UMTS!
So many nice features, a lot of memory (compared to the K600) but no UMTS. This will be the year in which many networks will be launching UMTS for consumers, and it will probably finally have a lot of subscribers. So I wonder why the K750 is only 2.5G and not 3G.
I will probably buy it anyway but I know it will get old very soon (as soon as SE will release exactly the same phone but UMTS compatible, and I guess it will not be long).
I own a t610 and waited and waited for SE to release something that was really worth the upgrade (according to my needs, which means smaller than the S700 and not clambshell). Now they have but, I am afraid, it is still not exactly what I want.
You might argue that no phone is ever going to be perfect. But I reply saying that the only thing the K750 lacks to be perfect is UMTS support, so it is normal that I raise that point.
This phone is the closest to perfect (for me personally) that there is in SE's lineup today.
Posted by etaab
I agree, but my point is not UMTS, but i wish it was a smartphone.
As much as i love my K700i, it, aswel as the K750, only support Java apps. So, i'll be giving the K750 a miss until we hear more about the next SE P series phone. If it does not live up to much, by then the W800 will be available and i'll get that instead.
Posted by pinolo77
For me smartphone is not that big of a deal, considered all the multimedia features of the phone. I have a notebook, so I use that
But on the other hand I agree with you that the Pxxx series is getting old. P800 P900 and P910 are only remakes of the same phone...
Anyway... Esato, the place were REALLY DEMANDING customers meet

Exactly, ofcourse SE can add everything to a new phone but the price will be to high.. they must be able to sell the phone.
We at Esato want everything in a phone.. all hightech

I wouldnt say the P910 is old, only the UIQ version it runs on is.
The point of me wanting a smartphone is so that i can do more, such as multi tasking, like being able to post on this forum whilst using other functions of my phone- On my K700i i have to close my wap browser just to check the time!
Posted by ares
k750 won´t support multitasking??? If v800 already does it...
k700i has a kind of multitasking - you can stay conected to My Friends + Radio/MP3 player and use the phone normally...i guess whats absent is a way to do it also with java apps
Posted by dj_wolfinstein
@ whizkid...
N'gage has the feature ..where you can make the phone offline..but I'm not sure its available in N'gage QD...

@Arez
you just saved my day... I was about to ask if with the K750 you would have to stop listening to music in order to browse wap or check calendar and so on. If it is possible (according to your post it luckily is...) you just provided me with another good reason to upgrade...
Thank a lot
Posted by Arne Anka
In K750, at least the MP3 player and Radio can be run in the background while doing other things in the foreground (seem to be similar to K700).

Yeah, for what i can understand multitasking in k750 will be similar to k700/s700/k500 - only radio, mp3 player and My friends
Does v800 have full multitasking
Well, to be true, i already can make lots of things without quiting from a java app, specially if i have a headset conected: i can make calls by pressing the headset button and using voice commands, and i can send sms by editing the Online Button shortcut (the "smsto:" homepage thing)...
