I want to connect k700 to compter i choose bluetooth or irda for hight speed
I use irda speed 5kB/s when tranfer data to computer

Of course bluetooth is faster. But you'd need to get a bluetooth dongle for that.

5kbps on irda is too slow.. i am getting more

What phone are you using?

He is using a K700

Ya. I read itafter i posted that! :-D

BT is faster, I normally get an average of 25KBytes/sec transfer rate. I'm still trying to figure out how to make this faster because BT 1.1 is supposed to be able to handle up to about 90KBytes/sec transfer rate.

isn't it the phone that is limiting the rate of transfer?

For web connection (gprs) is almost the same irda or bt.Rate of transfer is limited by gprs (edge) .

So far my BT transfer has never reached that speed, I wish it could. Like I mentioned my average BT transfer is only 25Kbytes/sec.

i can never reach over 23Kbytes/sec.

what r the speeds for a serial cable
Posted by blackspot
I'm not sure about the figures but I remember something like 9600 bits/sec or 1.17 Kbytes/sec only.

thanks blackspot

You are correct blackspot

@vineet, what software did your friend use? Ask your friend to make sure he specifies the correct Serial Port in the software's options/preferences, other than that and the proper drivers, I don't know what else could go wrong.
