They're saying it's life long plus five minutes a month free if you make one charged call. Since they're not subsidising phones yet I won't be moving yet. Nice to see their cards will be sold at the price stated on the card no 115% stuff although the other guys might follow. I'd consider buying a k600 as the k610 is only 1700 but radiosh*t has it for 2400. Only in Egypt, eh?

Did you use trackID ? Why are people rushing to Etisalat? Next they won't like the coverage which I suppose isn't perfect yet. The i2 near me has been packed for quite a while. And voda for some reason hiked the price of a line to 40LE for some reason.

As for coverage it goes as I detect is therfore it exists. Cairo and Alex and four more cities are supposedly covered but I can't gurantee 100% coverage.
On May 1st alahram had a tiny peice about etisalat starting and it said they were going to have a post paid contract that was 35LE/month + 30 free minutes, 34pt/min. and most important of all all prices include sales tax.

As for the 34PT/min call price it's almost the same in Mobinil & Vodafone. It's 30PT/min excl. taxes. So, when you add 15% taxes you get 34.5PT/min.

Both mobinil and voda's post paid exclude the 15% sales tax. So you take 20LE/month plus 30pt/min times all your minutes and add 15% that's your bill. Brimo is the annual line?

Has voda's QOS dropped since they started their 3g services? Gprs isn't very good a lot of times I get error messages.

...so i got a new number...etisalat has a good service except for dropping of its network sometimes and the GPRS is good ...............

i think it's a service center's problem.the propaganda is zero sized here.and unfortunately the phones can't walk by itself on the streets and call for people to buy it
....and NOKIA is the first winner.they have a great service centers like i2 & itisalat and they advertise nokia everywhere.

Do you have a mobile shop yet? They have almost everything although some new phones aren't out yet. Personally there are three shops less than 15 minutes away from good and they're opening another one.

Its just that they don't seem to compete really. They don't market much and they like almost seem to forget to bring out models and they keep the prices high even when I doubt they are selling their phones like hot cakes.

Mobinile is offering 50% off some select phones to their post paid customers, I'm not sure if it just the high paying. Anyways the phones aren't lock my dad's freind got a W880 for 1450LE and its going to be added to his bll over 12 months too. They were offering the D900, N73 don't know if its ME, the E65 and the HTC S710. Anyways I got to play with it for a while to see if I can figure out how to make the fonts bigger, you can't. But boy that screen is hot. Its small but its the same size as my T630 so it doesn't feel smaller or anthing. The buttons are a little small and so is the dpad but its ok. Best of all the arabic SMS font is good now, I don't know which phones have this new font, but I know the K700 and J300 don't, so basically some time after that. Would I buy one? For 1450 and nothing else as an alternative, yes. But I'd prefer to wait for shinobu, slider possibly W910 as it has a 2.4" screen. Would I buy it as a main phone at its regular price? No. A second phone maybe. But I have to afford the first one first.

Who's losing where? SE is growing in Europe and this year it'll start to push a little in America. Both SE and Nokia aren't very big in the USA. SE can be big here in Egypt but we just lack the marketing.

Is there really a 3g package on vodafone? I thought it was just a yearly line for free. all of 140LE. And I got mobinil's offer wrong BIG TIME. You pay the 1400 for the W880 but the RETURN it to you over 12 months by deducting an amount from your bill. So you more or less get it for free. The only thing is its quite small almost like personal invite, not open to everyone.
And BTW how do the companies charge for mobile TV? Not by the megabyte I hope and how much is a megabyte on 3g anyways nobody's saying.

I didn't know you have to buy the V630 with the offer, can't you just get it at the same price. The thing is a V630 will be locked to vodafone. If you're not on voda you'll have to go for the K610 wich is a little more expensive but better lookin imho and you don't get voda's ugly menus.

Also, Raya issued new services such as 2 years Warranty, price protection, where we can buy a phone and if it's price changes within 5 days, we can get the difference back.

Yeah, right. Last time I checked they didn't have any new SE's. They don't issue the warenty afaik and I'm pretty sure Nokia gave them the boot. When was the last time you saw them advertising a nokia or anything else apart from samsungs?

Its nice to see the K800 down to 2650 and the K550 is either a little cheaper or the bt headset is as its 1770 with bt compared to 1800. K610 is down a little too. But sadly no word on W810's price dropping. I guess I'll just have to go into a shop and see. Its about time they take the price below 2100 even with the white ones flooding us. And the W610 and K810 better be here soon.
And I'm going to be gunning for the K850 although it will definaitely come out over 3000

So MobiNil now has a free GPRS....i think this is a good move by mobinil...although it's so much slower...bit it's FREE...and Egyptians adore free things...so i think MobiNil is doing some thinking here !

Has anyone ever seen the Z800 being sold in Egypt? I don't really recall. I know its very old but heck the K600 is still being sold at a stupidly high price too. I was thinking a Z800 should be a nice phone and moderately priced, I know a lot of wishfull thinking but what the heck.

They seem to be pushing the K550 quite hard. Too big of a stock and not selling too much or is it a best seller. They'd do better advertising the K810 too.
