where can i buy a USB cable in K.L.??
Posted by ShawO
I suggest you get a bluetooth or infrared usb adapter which sould cost around RM 100 - 200 rather than a cable which will cost around RM 150.
Futhermore you can use it wireless rather than have a cable stuck to your pc

Just did a price check at Low Yat Plaza today MSI Buletooth PC2PC is selling at RM160. It used to cost me Rm200 2 months ago

Posted by satg
bluetooth is the wireless connection to any accessory, e.g. HBH-30 earpiece, it can also be used to sync up with your laptop MS outlook, transfer files...
As for IR, if your laptop/pc has a IR connection, you can use it to sync up with contacts or transfer files...
cool stuff....

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Who knows when the T300 will be out in M'sia ?
Posted by alwimy
Bought the Mineral Grey SE T68i from Sony Style in KLCC last wednesday.
Paid RM1699 but on interest free 12 split payments on my Standard Chartered Visa. I walked around Sg Wang and most vendors were offering the T68 (artic blue) at RM1450-1550. Hard to trust these guys though. I keep worrying that I might get a recon/underwater set which is passed off as genuine.
Has anyone updated their firmware in Malaysia?
Posted by wrecked_porsche
Hoi !! U orang tahu when THE T300 will be out in good 'ol Malaysia ??
PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE !!!

whats the price of p800 in kl ????
i might get one this december !!!
Posted by ShawO
Hi Mr. Alwi Yunus
Firstly, welcome to the exciting, hectic, busy etcetc... world of esato!
If yo are worried that you might get a 'submarine' set, you can always check for the ericsson hologram sticker and the sirim sticker under the battery. Ohya... not to forget the southall warranty card!
Well too late for that but anyways you can get your firmware updated either at telemas, bandar sunway or ericserve, amcorp mall. Personally, im still using r2a014 but i plan to update it soon and dont forget to bring your warranty card!
Posted by alwimy
Thanks for the welcome!
I upgraded my firmware at EricServe at Amcorp. The process took about half an hour. I now am at R5C001. There is also an upgrade for my bluetooth headset (HBH30?) but they don't have it at the moment although they said they will get it soon. I must say the screen looks brighter and the menus are more responsive with this new firmware. More important, the data accounts have been upgraded. I no longer need to change the APN to access WAP and data connections (via bluetooth from my laptop). WAP access now works with a dialog box popping up asking if I want to connect with my "secondary account" which lists the APN for WAP.
They also have the T68 holster for RM44 ( I paid RM90 after bargaining it down from RM100 at Sg Wang. Dang!

np...
I've never had any apn problems with winxp...
its only win98 that i cant seem to get...
RM 90?
i paid RM 120 for it at Tesco!
Waitaminute...
ict-13 right?
Posted by alwimy
Yes, the ict13 is available at EricServe for RM44.
I couldn't be happier with my phone, I'm surfing via bluetooth and GPRS with my laptop (free on Celcom - for now, at least). I've also configured my palm device (Sony Clie NR70) to surf/e-mail.
Posted by ShawO
Yikes! looks like i've been ripped off!!!
Next time i think i should scout aorund first!
heres what i bought from there dr. mobile, tesco ioi mall
ict-13 RM 118.00
bst-14 RM 328.00
mca-20 RM 599.00
how much you bought those?
but this one i think is quite reasonable:
msi usb p2p bluetooth RM 180.00 - pcfair ii
ciao!

alwimy:
i am using celcom as well but why i never been informed that celcom has GPRS launch???
Posted by alwimy
Don't know what all those letters mean! I assume one of them is the clip on camera. As I already have a Sony 3.2MegaPixel Cybershot and another camera on my Clie NR70V, I'm not too interested in those.
Accessories for my T68i - I bought the travel charger (the one that is shaped like a torpedo at KLCC for RM150 (paid too much, I know but couldn't find it elsewhere and am a sucker for pretty gadgets). I bought the HBH30 (?) bluetooth headset for RM700 at Sony Wings at the same time as my phone purchase.
Good price on the USB Bluetooth adapter. I'm using a Mitsumi one with my Apple Titanium PowerBook. Cost me RM199 at the AppleCenter in Sg Wang.
Posted by alwimy
Celcom GPRS is on a "trial basis" right now.
You can get it activated by sending SMS to 90000 with the message "GPRS on".
While on trial, GPRS access is free!

Is there any upgrade 4 T68m after mms upgrade?
Posted by veon18
NEVER BUY FROM DR MOBILE!
They are ripping us off!!!
Just compare the prices
Ericserve is selling original BST-14 black battery for T68m at RM238,Dr Mobile selling RM338!
Ericserve selling original BST-14 white battery for T68i at RM248,Dr. Mobile selling at RM388!
Ericserve selling MCA-20 at RM499,Dr. Mobile selling at RM599!
And know what's worse?Ericserve selling Data Cable DRS-11 at RM150 while Dr. Mobile's selling at RM350!!!
As for me,all of the accessories i got was from Ericserve and i never by anything from those luxurious handphone shops at malls

Has anyone tried out the HBH30? Appreciate if u could write a little review on it. I'm thinking of buying a bluetooth headset but I can't decide which one. The HBH60 is coming out soon - shall I wait? hmm..
Posted by wrecked_porsche
Can U good guys please post the APN, User ID, Password and IP address for CELCOM GPRS PLEASE ??
Thanks Guys !!
Posted by alwimy
With R5C Firmware, you will be able to have two APN configurations. This is useful if you use your T68i to act as a Bluetooth modem with Celcom GPRS.
For WAP over GPRS the configuration is:
APN: wap.celcom.net.my
User id: (left blank)
Password:(left blank)
Password request: (left blank)
Allow calls: automatic
IP address: (left blank)
DNS address: 203.115.211.3
Advanced settings: (all defaults)

To use your T68i to act as a Bluetooth modem with Celcom GPRS you need to have these settings as your primary data account (in other words set this account up FIRST, set up the WAP account second). This will make your internet account a CID=1. With this config, when you connect via WAP, you will be asked "connect via secondary account?" to which you'd answer "yes".
For Internet over GPRS the configuration is:
APN: celcom.net.my
User id: (left blank)
Password:(left blank)
Password request: (left blank)
Allow calls: automatic
IP address: (left blank)
DNS address: 203.115.211.3
Advanced settings: (all defaults)
