Telekom's a load of hocus pocus...just check out the editorials on most daily newspapers.....been seeing complaints after complaints on the non delivery of streamyx after order has been made...and the worst is that the folks workin in there just dun seem to bother...calls get bounced from 1 dept to the other.....it's a bloody shame!!!
i know coz my company applied for it a month plus back and till now, no news.....even after calling them weekly plus they couldn't say when it can be done or ready for use.....
to top it off, my office's located smack in the center of the golden triangle.......their application should include a disclaimer saying " PROCESSING OF APPLICATION IS HIGHLY DEPENDANT ON LOCATION AND APPLICANT'S LUCK" or "MOST LOCATIONS NOT SUPPORTED BUT DO TRY FOR LUCK'S SAKE"

Know what?TM Touch sucks,looking at its highly technological advertisement on the TV makes me puke!
I was barred again for my registered TM Touch line for the 3rd time
Sheesh...i called them and asked why they barred me!They replied i did not clear my payment for last month's usage
I was so mad as i send them the payment well before the deadline to the address given in the bill
After like 1 hour of fiddling with the operators there...know what they replied? 'Oh,sorry,it is our mistake ,the payment was left behind in the Headquarters and hence they some of our registered users are thought of not paying up the bill....we will activate your line straight away!!'
Wat is this excuse man! For the 3rd time in 6 months! Both the 1st and 2nd time,i hadnt argue with them over this matter as i think ppl do make mistakes!
Now i know registering to TM Touch is really a BIG MISTAKE!
I'm turning off to Maxis now and i just registered today!yea!

Just bought a R600 exactly a week ago - upgrade from Trium Mars. Just love the look and couldn't really afford T68i. It was okay at first, needed to adjust to it. Anyway, by the third day it was restarting itself a couple of times a day! It also makes this beeping sound (apparently searching for signal). Today was the last straw! I noticed that I was receiving SMS from non-regular people (not from my phonebook). When I checked, my whole phonebook has been totally WIPED-OUT! Any idea where I could get fixed (apparently it's software related). Don't want to go thru the shop, will take too much time. It comes with a Southall warranty. Btw, I'm in Penang.

Does Jaring provides broadband? I am using a Jaring dial-up in my house in JB. But I really, really think that they need the stupid cables from Telekom right? *sigh* But what I dun get is that even with braodband, still need to use a phone line... in SG, when one is using internet via broadband, no need to use phoneline... *blur* Hmm...

man this is gonna be a hell of a long post!!!
firstly, jaring does not provide adsl and nope it's more complicated than that.
you see, adsl works using normal phone lines but it uses a higher frequency than normal phone calls so it does not interfere with your voice/fax/data calls pretty much like the way gprs is independent and does not interfere with your voice calls and smses.
for the adsl system to work, the internet service provider needs to negotiate with the telco provider in order to get a space for them to put a server at the area's switching station (i'm not too sure what they call it) and since tmnet is owned by telekom, its a sinch for them to do that. now you know why jaring does not provide adsl?
and if im not mistaken the switching station needs to be located less than 2km from your internet access point. not that it cant be further but line conditions, distance and material adversely affects the connection speed. thats why you see all those disclaimers and gibberish on thier site. its just that they dont want a customer banging on their helpdesk claming his download speeds are too slow and blablabla...
fyi: tmnet is not the only adsl provider in this country, afaik maxis and time offer adsl services too and i heard at a way lower price and much faster connection speeds. the only catch is that your area's telco provider must be maxis or time too.
im currently trying my luck on a maxis adsl subscription since the area where i am now is using maxis fixed lines (yay!) and i plan to move out of this stinking apartment with average connection speeds of 1kbps!
*sigh*

I bought the phone in U.S. of A. It is not a waterset, it is ORIGINAL (with the 1-year INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY, i've typed down in the previous message if i'm not mistaken). Of course it doesn't have the SIRIM logo (coz' i bought the phone in US) but it is TRULY ORIGINAL. I'm truly sure about it. So if u have any Q's, don't hesitate to ask!

you see i'm from kl but i study in nilai college.
I stay in nilai college's apartments 3 days a week and spend the rest of my time in kl
they provide us with lan internet connections and as i have mentioned earlier, the speed is pathethic! i plan to move out next semester and rent a house in bandar baru nilai. from what i heard maxis owns the fixed lines in that area (well i certainly hope so cos telekom sucks!)

I just called Ericserve, Jeffrey told me international warranty is no more valid in Malaysia. Also I will prefer a T300c which supports chinese too, i dun think MCA-25 is useful to me since MMS is still in the distant future!
Anyway anyone know the estimated launching price of the T300?what i heard is RM899, can anyone verify this??

About the International Warranty that veon said is not acceptable anymore in Malaysia, well it says on the papers international warranty and service. As long as you dont drop, or break the phone yourself, then you can take it in for repairs!Eeasy as that.. All the international telephone numbers are on there. I don't know when Ericsson have changed the International Warranty's policies but thats about all i can say
Well, about the plug-in MCA-25, u can buy from me without the communicam actually. I just made a good offer because if u buy the phone with the cam, i'll lower the price. Its ok if u dont want to buy the cam (as veon said "i dun think MCA-25 is useful to me since MMS is still in the distant future!"), u can just buy the phone and all the accessories, no problem

Anyway it was not me who say the warranty isnt valid ar....just passing the message on from a Malaysian SE staff to the others. Maybe he is wrong , but if the warranty paper did state that the international is valid,i think we can argue with SE Malaysia if they do not warrant us the unit,and i think it's not fair just to cancel the warranty like that when it is clearly stated black and white on the card
And seems like i am wrong about the MMS being in the distant future too, should be interesting taking pic with MCA-25 and sending via MMS. Hope they will have a promotion period for subscribers like what they did for GPRS,then we can fully utilise the free service before they have the chance to dig in our wallet

MMS isnt launched yet? Well... it's already launched in SG & it's really cool (especially if u MMS to a friend who also owns a MMS-enabled phone). By the way, is there any way that a S'porean can subscribe to a line without having to pay the deposit RM$1000?

Go register a supplementary line from your relatives/frens who stays in malaysia,in that case, ur line will be under his/her name and there will be no deposit imposed, i know maxis is having some promotion,monthly fees are only RM10 for sup line and RM30/40 for principal line!

However, MMS will take up a lot of space. 1 MMS animation for example will be abt 15kb! The one thing I truly enjoy abt MMS is that I was able to record a voice message & then send it to my friend.
And we can also send MMS to friends who dun hef a MMS-enabled phone. They will simply receive a message asking them to go to this website where they can log in using the password given & see their messages. BUT, I personally think that it's a waste of time. I guess that this is just a marketing strategy for these users to go get T68i!!!!

I know maxis wont be giving any free stuffs like when they launched GPRS, they made me pay through my nose, but i think Digi provided us a much better deal on GPRS and yet their prepaid users are allowed to wap over GPRS at a rate cheaper than maxis
And yeap,the billing address has to follow the principal line. And they dont imposed extra charges monthly for roaming, just bring along your passport(which is still valid) to any maxis center and they will activate it for free, only charges for calls will be imposed once u call internationally. RM10 basis is real cheap.

so actually what is the price of your whole package nangsat? roughly RM1800?? actually i think 1800 is kind of too much already though new launched T68i was RM1700. Hp's price drop quite sharply and i think that your package should worth around RM 1400 at most in Malaysia when it is launched. Moreover if you really got it from US, I bet that was under contract and u just ran away with the phone? hehe if true then the set should only cost RM700 at most
cam not sure, dun really like it though it is cool to have one. Original new deskstand is only RM77 sold in ericserve n u could get one for RM40 from ebay. SO i hope that u r not trying to make real big profit from your package.....

how can u said that the price is way too high? u see, the T300 is not yet released. I don't know how much the price will be but i just changed the price from USD to RM (with a SMALL profit). As i've told before, the phone is UNLOCKED(it's not under contract) so it can be used with any networks especially in Europe, Asia Pasific and Middle East. I WILL NOT sell any phone under contract, and i will not sell the phone for this price EVEN if it's under contract. If there's any problem with the under-contract-thingy, i'll refund the money back. no problem. And off course every price of phones will drop sharply but if no one buy(and keep on waiting for a price) then how come the price will drop?
I've made a check-up about the MCA-25 at Sony KLCC, they retail it for RM699. I don't know the price at other outlets (Sg. Wang etc.) but that is the actual price in market.
About the deskstand, i'll give as a GIFT if u buy the phone (with or without the camera).
I still can give a lower price, but i dont want to set the price. I will only when there's annyone really interested about my offer and contact me. I STILL CAN GIVE A LOWER PRICE, DONT WORRY. Its all u to u.
