I agree, a cheaper rate is achievable in these parts, just do your homework and you'll get it. Saw a K850 AP set at a small, corner mobile shop around my office area in KL, selling at RM1700. I have to say it looks better than I expected, but it's just a dummy, they still don't have it ready in stock. The real ones usually look better. I guess it's just a matter of time before the price drops, but RM1700 is quite a reasonable price for a flagship Sony Ericsson phone

Yeah, W960 has been getting overall bad reviews so far. Well, can't blame the reviewers, coz I think something's really wrong with SE nowadays. And now we're hearing bad user experiences with the K850, bad enough for SE Malaysia to take it out from their 'released phones' list I noticed. I am also eagerly anticipating P5i hoping they'd have some innovation (and adequate testing) packed in it

Yeah, I first started using Ericsson, then SE because I hated what Nokia were doing back then. Nokia were releasing many phones, all very similar with just different cosmetics and removing features here and there.
NOW, SE is the one who is doing this. Yuck!
Nokia on the other hand is the one that is now coming out with great stuff. And SE is the one playing the rehash trick... Shame on SE!

Waited for K850i and the W960 after I sold off my N95. Dissapointed with SE both phones and ended up with the N95 8gb. No regrets. It was a toss between two Nokia, the N95 8gb and the xenon loaded N82. Chose the 95 for its huge screen and 8 gb storage.

I have my eye on the N82 too. I really like how it looks. I dunno why everyone i know says it looks like crap.
Anyhow I don't see much new tech in the mobile phone world right now, which is why my $$$ is getting burned in the audiophile world right now. But its sooo worth it. I spend like 8 ~ 10 hours a day listening to music...

Will join the Iphone bandwagon soonest it becomes available in M'sia (feb 2008) I heard. User interface is amazing. Truly a new experience. Other than that and the cool factor, my N95 8gb beats it comfortably.

The shop is in Carefour Subang Jaya. That's where I bought mine.
You know the post office inside carefour? Opposite the post office I think is an Ogawa shop or something liddat. The mobile phone shop booth thingy closest to that Ogawa shop has the music adapter. He will ask for RM15, bargain for RM10. Sure can.

iPhone as i know need to be hacked to run on other network. Unless you got a at&t account and roaming at malaysia else you need to hack it. And seem like this will void warranty and i read at engadget that sometimes if you hook up the phone with iTune. It might do some weird thing since that piece of jukebox many of us love also function to update firmware.

I just need some help to find out if it is possible to get push email so that emails received at my gmail account can be pushed to the P1 which I recently bought. I am using Celcom, I called up their technician operator and got a pathetic response that Celcom does not support push email?! Is that true?
Plus does the buying Profimail solves the problem?

it's not celcom dont support push mail... its just that web base email doesnt have the push mail function.
u can configure it to check every 3 minute if u want it. so manually the phone will check new mails from ya gmail account accordingly.
will not advise u to do that as it take up a lot of battery usage.

Recently am back with SE phones, being the W880i and S500i. Recently sold the P1i, which IMO is not bad a phone, but lacks 3rd party software, compared to S60 and WM. So am now happy with my new Samsung i780 with WM6 as my main phone.

Meetup? That's a good idea.
As for Phone, i am now waiting for SE to come up with the successor to K850i that feature better camera + optical zoom with at least 3X or better still 5X.

Even me, I've moved on to an audiophile hobby...
Anyway, my K750i is hanging on for dear life... Great phone... the best one I've had soo far. Does everything I want. I see no reason to upgrade unless it dies on me... I'd probably get a W810 to replace it... how much does a W810 go for these days?
I have no interest in the new phones... they are all a gimmick. NO point spending soo much... :rolleyes:
