My joystick on the K750i needs some more "joy" added too. Might be dropping by Ericserve in about two weeks time... I think I mentioned the date in my previous post. I wonder how much its gonna cost me to get a new "joy"stick...

Soichiro, can wait for that date I mentioned ah? Your keypad can last right?

Dude, fly all the way home from Australia?
Use that money to get a new phone ler... P990 perhaps... hehehehe...

Dunno, but I think in about two months time? I read somewhere that it will come out in time for Christmas.

It's RM 138 at Ericserve mate.

When are you going to Ericserve? Maybe we can meetup and have a cup of tea. (In case you don't know, this is Waja800).

Dude, I've been meaning to ask you why u dropped your old nick and used your Lowyat one. Anyway, u know how much a K750i "kayu gembira" costs ah?

Eh, anyone know a good carting track? I know of the one at Sunway extreme park, and the one in Shah Alam. But any other around that u guys know of?

The track and carts in Sunway are good for drifting ...

Maybe we shud meet at the go-cart track for our next meeting?

The K750i's joystick is RM39 at Ericserve.

Why the change of nick? Not sure why. Just feel like using my existing nick which I at other forums here as well.

Wow! Go-kart for a gathering? I'd stick to teh tarik sessions, unless you want to include paint ball sessions.

I am thinking to organize a TT on this friday at Steven Corner OUG. Anyone wanna join? Maybe we can hang out and meet new members and play around with the phones.

@Sony/waja ( ), paintball eh? Well Sunway has that too. We cud give it a try.
Carting not your thing eh? U shud try drifting a cart, now that is FUN.

TT stands for Teh Tarik or known as gathering session in Malay.
Steven Corner OUG is situated at OUG. Somewhere near Citrus Park OUG or can said it is near to Sri Petaling

Posted by QuickShare
gosh i would love to go.. anyone willing to come to Sabah for a TT session? i'll organize it

Posted by sonyclie77
@Sanjeev,

Paintball should be fun. So besides you and me, anyone else? If the TT time is right, heck Sanjeev I can even go your place pick you up to Steven's Corner.

@Babyk84 (Boss),

Friday night cannot lah boss. I'm in JB now and will only be back to KL late Friday night.

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Ok, if you're going for TT with them just let me know la dude. Then u can show me where OUG is. U have my num, just give me a buzz.
Paint ball, hmmm... maybe we can get a few of our friends (doesn't have to be forum guys) to go along. I know a have a cousin that is dying to get his hands on a paintball gun. I could probably round up a few of my friends.

QuickShare, just fly over and join us lah. Not far woot!

hello guys, need a bit of help

I'm currently in UK but will be coming back to KL in October. I'm thinking of buying a P910i on ebay which is unfortunately locked to Vodaphone. Any idea how and where I can get the phone completely unlock (both for making calls and for surfing the net) in KL? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Posted by QuickShare
hi mate.. actually im from the west part of Malaysia (Sabah) .. there's quite a lot of place that sell in the KL which you prefer a unlocked one.. for better or for worst, get an original one maybe the rest of member could give you a direction for the place in KL

Posted by alpal
Thanks for the reply quickshare. I'm only buying the locked phone in UK because its a lot cheaper. Anyone else with suggestions where I can get it unlock in KL? Thanks

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Try Sungai Wang Plaza and Lowyat Plaza for a start. There are tons of shops there. I'm sure you'll find one that can do that for you.

Hello~~

Do you come back to Malaysia often?

Posted by c96sthl
any of you notice the ad in newspaper which is in black

with text of you know you want it....

you manage to see some curve on the print out which seem to be Z610

this seem to be the first time SE have a product announced to the public in such unique way by keep the mystery.

Ya for us who always keep in touch with mobile phone developement is boring on tht phone but for general public....sure it will be eye catching.

Posted by QuickShare
on which newpaper that was?

Posted by c96sthl
THE STAR on saturday

Posted by QuickShare
afaik i never saw any advertisement on local newpaper for the SE phone.. but this is for real indeed.. i can see the z610 top of the phone.. especially the camera this is so mystery

Posted by c96sthl
Quickshare

SE ad is common in local press

but it is always having the product showed immediately

sorry it is on friday THE STAR...Saturday was on Chinese newspaper which I subscribe too.....

Maybe due to the fact this is a phonoe for the look which make SE use this mystery way to promote the product.

Posted by wrecked_porsche
post a pic of the full add please.

Posted by QuickShare
gotta dig for the chinese newpaper to see the real thing

@sanjeevjaya
c96sthl had already post the 3/4 picture of the advertisement .. i assumed that 1/4 of the rest are in black colour

Posted by c96sthl
tht page...i can't remember which section in the star

chinese press and the one in the star is all in black and white

i guess the mystrery will conitnue to slowly bring in colour...show more shilloute of the product until....WA LAU WEI!!!!

so just go and buy newspaper more often if you just interested to check out the ad.

Sanj

how to give you a full address if this is what I snap shot using my camera phone ....it is from a hardcopy lah...not from internet.

Oh my,

My girl is addicted to SE and so am I.
Wanna buy K800i for my girl, even ask her cousin to bring the set tonight. But now i'm torn between choosing k800i or w850i >_<

The AP sets are almost similiar in price. K800i seems got more advantage over w850 because of the 3.2megapixel cyber-shot branding. but W850i is newer . . . .

Posted by c96sthl
If not mistaken....K800 music player is less powerful

no walkman player version2 and didn't have mega bass.

might not have the nice HPM series handsfree (this could be wrong)

W850 have tht minus the camera power.

think about what you need...music more or picture more before you decide.

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Get a K750i lah, got megabass and good cam too. Plus got autofocus, something the w850 lacks. Best compromise IMHO.

K800i comes with HPM-60, but is not the in-ear type like HPM-70.

Posted by c96sthl
seem like z610 ad pops up every friday...

last friday the star only have a tag " I know you want it"

maybe next week it will be out???

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Well either the add sucks or I have not been reading much newspapers, because I haven't even seen the add yet... Not very effective advertising IMO...

Posted by suhaidy
can some help me to setup airzed wlan...im using p990i. just bought week ago hehehe...i tried somany times but still canot open the internet browser. TQ

Hello guys, just a quick question and sorry if its stupid coz I just returned to Malaysia. Do Tom Tom or Route 66 or any other sat nav software work in Malaysia. I have a P910 and since I'm quite hopeless at road directions, a sat nav software would be useful, just don't know whether there are even complete road maps for Malaysia (mainly KL)? Thanks for any help

Tom Tom or Route 66 does not work in Malaysia.

And sadly, I don't know of any maps that work on UIQ 2.1 or UIQ 3.o at all.

Malsingmaps with Garmin Que works on WM5 and also Palm OS to a certain extent. For Symbian S60, you have Ambicom.

Thanks for that info, what platform does the P910 run on? Is it the Symbian 60 or UIQ 2.1/3.0?
