To those with a K750i. Can you please take a pic of a purple object with a regular digicam, then use ur k750i and take the same pic, then post it here?
My friend says there is a bug that causes purple to appear as blue in the k750i's cam?
I wanna see some samples.

Alex, Fulat, Waja ?

Thanks

EDIT:

Oh, and I just found this, Malaysia on on some kinda fraud list:

I dont have a digicam, but heres a comparison with my P910 and my K750. Im sure you can tell which is which! I don't see the purple problem though...

Hope this helps make your decision, The K750i is brill!!!

Posted by waja800
@Sanj,

Will try to get hold of a purple object to shoot at, as there's none I can recall that I own..

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Hmmm.... Ok, but dgilmartin is from Ireland, and I as we can see, there is no problems with their k750i. So, how about the ones they sell here in Malaysia?
Waja, I look forward to your confirmation. Please do post your pics here.

@dgilmartin, can you tell me the production week of your unit? Remove the battery and you should see something like 05W15 which in this case means year 2005, week 15.

Yes the Phone build date is 05W22, Ive had it since the second week of June. The firmware is R1L002.

Hope this helps you mate,

Cheers,

Its my friend who told me about this "bug"... I don't believe it which is why i asked you guys to check it out. So, any Malaysians here can confirm here if there is or if there isn't a bug on the phone?

Definition of Outdoor Barbecue

It's the only type of cooking a "real" man will do:

When a man volunteers to do such cooking, the following chain of events is put into motion.

(1) The woman goes to the store.
(2) The woman fixes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.
(3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils, and takes it to the man, who is lounging beside the grill, drinking a beer.
(4) The man places the meat on the grill.
(5) The woman goes inside to set the table and check the vegetables.
(6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning.
(7) The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it to the woman.
(8) The woman prepares the plates and brings them to the table.
(9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
(10) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off."

And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women.

""There's been an arguement at my website that S600i will no longer be on sale, because SE decided to change W600a to be worldwide in W600i name. The person is just like me when I just pop out of no where telling that SE will no longer continue putting S600i on the market, but will change W600a to W600i for market reasons. Please, if anyone could confirm this, I could initially stop the arguement. I tried asking for the person who I get information from, but he doesn't know about this either.""

Just came back. The PC fair no soo good lah this time... Anyway, i got the BCI 24 Cannon Black ink for RM18.50 and 100 Imation 52X CDRs at RM63. That's all I got. And the Acer Ferrari notebook was on display. Cool. It had a VERY SMOOTH texture

Posted by fu1at
i bought imation 52X cd-r the other day at lowyat at RM0.62. so 100 pieces is about RM62.

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Oh, forgot to mention, they did throw in one software CD for free though when i bought the CDRs. Some movie editing/audio editing software. I couldn't be bothered to try it out yet though.

Whats the weather like in september/october in Sabah and Sarawak?

I am going over for a 3 weeks holiday from 24.9.05 til 16.10.05 and was hoping it was not going to be too wet.

Also one more question about Ramadan. Will it affect tourists much when eating during daylight. I am not wanting to offend anyone. But i dont want to starve myself all day as i am a big eater.

Sorry if this seems off topic but its the best place i thought i would get an answer.

Regards

Good morning. :-)

Posted by wrecked_porsche

Well, its bloody hot here right now, and there is a bad haze. I live on the Malaysian peninsular, but I guess its the same in Sabah and Sarawak.

Regarding your question about Ramadan, well I'm not a Muslim and you don't see me starving during Ramadan. I'm a rather big guy... To answer your question, no you won't starve, the non-Muslim shops are still open and you can eat there.
In fact, in the evenings, just before the Muslims break their fast, there are plenty of stalls that sell all kinds of delicious Malay food... well over here on the peninsular anyway

Cheers dude, and enjoy your stay in Malaysia

Its normally the monsoon or wet season in Sabah beginning of Oct till Jan. However the weather patterns haf been a little cuckoo of late and the rainy spell may start as early as end Sept. This only affects Sabah. Sarawak is expected to be a little wet during this time but not as bad as in Sabah. You shud plan your time to visit Sabah first and Sarawak after that to take opportunity of the weather patterns. Depending on the nature of your visit, most of the places of interest (theme nature) can be visited during these time with the exception of scaling Mt Kinabalu (tallest peak in SEA). If u r targeting to climb Mt Kinabalu the best time wud be between May/June. Island hopping is not an issue as there are plenty of well sheltered coves to entire most divers. Check out Sipadan....its absolutely wonderful!!! I'm in sabah 2 weeks each mth so gimme a buzz if u need more info mate!!

During the mth of Ramadan when the muslim community fasts, it is still ok to eat....i am assuming u will be consuming in restaurants etc where there are plenty of other ppl as well as tourists. We are a bunch of friendly ppl and we do understand that u will need to eat. Your sensitivity to this issue is honourable and much appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for the info.

I was in peninsular May 2005 and had a great time, at the time shithappens gave me some suggestions http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=58232

I missed out on borneo so i am back this year but now i am working so i can only get 3 weeks off work to visit.

My plans are at the minute,
Semenggoh Wildlife Rehab Centre,
Bako National Park,
perhaps a homestay long house village,
Gunung Mulu National Park,
Diving in Labuan and Pulau Sipadan,
Sungai Kinabatangan,
and maybe some rafting.

I might have the time for it all, not sure, but i will go along and try and do as much as i can fit in to the 3 weeks.

Cant wait to get out and taste the food again,

OWEN
