Hi Malaysians SE users..
Happy New Year..
I have a few questions:

1.What are the effects(positive and negative) after trying out the "13-second" trick?

2.Are there any other ways I can delete predefined items besides carrying out the "13-second" trick?

3.Can anyone explain to me why two same SE phone models(T630) have different memory space?Mine have about 1.3-1.4Mb of space while my friend's have about 1.9-2.0Mb.I checked his phone,it still has the predefined items in it.

Thanks for all your reply.

my bro is using the v3 now. no hangs or whatsover, pretty stable. but yeah i agree the itap predictive text input is kinda hard to master. It's the form factor which really attractive. now when can SE come out with such a slim phone yet feature packed as it is now?

firmware updates help a lot I suppose

@Lor, thanks for the reply.

@All, Happy New Year guys

@Waja, one more question, does the V3 come with a HS810 headset in the box? Thanks

I'd assume you're talking about the V3. The SMS is not as laggy as I thought it would be, but still not as good as SE's, or maybe its just me not getting used to it.

And YES it comes with a HS-810 BT headset, cool looking and functional headset IMO. Just fold the extended part and the headset is switched off. So convenient.

Sorry to interrupt. Greetings from the Nigerian thread! I would like to express my condolences to you all for the loss of lives in the Tsunami disaster. May God comfort everyone here who lost someone. Amen

Posted by waja800
@coolapostle,

Thanks for the concern. I'm sad at the occurence of the incident as well. And to think that the death toll is at a staggering 21000 at this point of time...

Posted by lor
Whoops, so it does come with the headset!!!!! I got cheated then.

Anyway, too many people dying from natural disasters. The world is coming to an end...

Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of auld lang syne?
And days of auld lang syne, my dear,
And days of auld lang syne.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of auld lang syne?

We twa hae run aboot the braes
And pu'd the gowans fine.
We've wandered mony a weary foot,
Sin' auld lang syne.
Sin' auld lang syne, my dear,
Sin' auld lang syne,
We've wandered mony a weary foot,
Sin' auld ang syne.

We twa hae sported i' the burn,
From morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roared
Sin' auld lang syne.

Sin' auld lang syne, my dear,
Sin' auld lang syne.
But seas between us braid hae roared
Sin' auld lang syne.

And ther's a hand, my trusty friend,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

(in remembrance of those who perished in the dec 26th calamity)

a happy and healthy new year to you and yours

Happy New Year to All

Posted by wrecked_porsche
@Lor, why a waste ah? Care to say y ah?

Posted by waja800
Probably because of memory issues?

Posted by shithappens
Guten tag fellas. How's the brand new spankin start 2 the year been? And yes, i'm quite sober now :-)

Posted by lor
Yeah, my dealer called to tell me a few days earlier. Then he asked me if I wanted it, I told him I was using the p910i now. He asked me if I wanted to trade it in or sell it... LOL

Anyway, I don't think I want the MPx. Memory issues are a problem, my p910i works great I don't want a midlevel pocket pc... form factor is great though.

Just keep hope that SE will come out with a stronger symbian phone in a year or so

Congrats Sanjeev in working for MAS.

Finally sanj work. My boy had finally become a contributor for our society. Keep it up. I am proud of u.

@jeev: good luck mate.....

Posted by lor
Yeah finally, you've been a slacker too long

But no worries, I only started working (officially) for 8 months so far. But I did do some odd jobs and stuff before that.

Oh well, enjoy your week because workin life is a bit**, unless you earn a ton of $$$ like some of our dear members here

Haha

MPx, hype is justified. It's exactly what they said it would be. Im just a different person than I was say 9 months ago when it was big news...

Btw, thanks Waja for the support yesterday. I almost went mad. HAHA

Posted by waja800
haha... No worries mate!

We get moolah because we work like dogs just to survive and buy a few cool devices once a year. Nothing to be grateful about, they owe us a lot more than just "moolah"

@lor: that's a darn cynical view mate....u're scaring all the newbies to the work mkt now

Posted by lor
I'm sorry

here, let me rephrase that

work is a magical place, where there are flowers and rainbows and where you'll see rabbits playing with the squirrels and the shine shining brightly without burning your skin. the boss will appreciate you and you aren't underpaid, in fact, he'll come up to you and say "good job man, take the rest of the day off" instead of asking you to stay extra 4 hours till late night.

now that's more like it

however, this little org chart might help the newbies in identifying where they stand....and as they are newbies, they'll prolly congregate right at the bottom

but based on my countless years in employment....here's a workflow chart that will help elevate the newbies quickly to the top *provided it can be followed diligently*

just tot i'll lend a hand to the newbies....afterall the younger generation will be the pillars of strength of the nation in time to come

@Shits and Lor... You've been such great help... Thank you...

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I've been prayin' for
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there's nothin' but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin' but blue skies

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

@soichiro,

What WAP device are you using?

@Shits,

Nice organizational chart there. I like the birds chart!
