hi, recently my hbh-660 just won't charge at all. i plug the charger in and it doesn't detect it at all. the headset has a little battery left and still works. i've had the headset for a few months, and it has been babied (no drops or bumps). i tried different chargers and none worked, but the chargers worked for se phones. anyone have suggestions? or any idea how to open up the headset?

to open and repair that headset isnt so easy, let it be done by experts. if u have warranty, u should get a new one. visit se and ask them foe help, it could be myna things what could went wrong. on se web u find the tel nr u can call. good luck. btw there is a canadian forum here ( hosted by bacanito ), maybe they can give u some ideas or hints where to turn with your problem.

Try leaving the charger pluged in for about 30minutes, and see if she starts charging.

Try cleaning the contacts of the headset. It might be just a bit dirty and that could prevent the charger plug from connecting properly.

i am afraid, it went wrong, it wouldnt be the first bt headset and there were already some threads about the samer problem.

hey jwy, sorry, i really have little knowledge when it comes to headsets...wish I could help...my only advice is that unless you have any type of knowledge/experience in what goes on in there, pay what it costs for a pro to do it, or if its too expensive, get a new one...Sorry can't be of much help on this one...

hey guys, sorry for the late response, i've been really busy so i haven't had time to solve it. i tried different chargers but no go. i tried leaving it connected for a long time too but nothing. the contacts have been cleaned and i am sure they contact each other. it hasn't gotten hot since it won't charge at all.
i heard that se may service it since the product is less than a year old... do you know if that's true?
thanks again guys, i really appreciate all of your help

se does not do service on headsets. if it's still on warranty they give you a new one!!! (done it many times)

Did you check and see if there was any voltage across the charger pins, or continuity across the headset pins? (requires a multimeter)
If its less than a year old though, SE will probably replace it.
