Does the phones gprs counter really matter?

anyone tried this then i did it again just to be sure still the same result is ti to do with the screen reselution have i got it wron some else try it

Even if the phone gprs counter is faulty, it does not affect your provider's charges in any way. Your network does not rely on your phone counter.

thats what i thought until i used it with o2 they were charging me and it was the same as the nokia and was quite high but not had a problem with my z600 could it just be me be nice if someone could tell me ha ha

on the nokia are you adding the send and recieve figures together as you are usually charged for both sending and reciveing as a total figure.
cant remember how se gprs counter is configured if it has a send and recieve figure.
Posted by david1975
yeah they both have send and recive i know you get charged for both

fair enough i am on orange uk and using a nokia 6600 and if i add my send and recieve settings together at the end of the month my total is always within a few kb of whats on my orange bill.
did notice when i moved from my t610 to my current phone that i use more kbs per month but put that down to having a different orange homepage for smartphones
but it maybe how different phone handle things not to sure
you problem does sound strange though

yeah i use mine on orange their bill is like you say almost the same i was wondering if it was another o2 software problem or something
