gprs status says "no network"

I have signed up for VoiceStream/iStream and configured my T68i as per various FAQs with no luck. I noticed that when I check the status of the phone by sliding the volume piece the GPRS: line says "No Network". Does this mean:

1) No GPRS signal in my area?
2) VoiceStream hasn't updated my account yet?
3) My GPRS settings are not right?
4) What should I see there "normally"?

I am trying to figure this out on my own cuz calling VS is almost always a nightmare of long waits and less than competent reps on the other end of the line.

Your GPRS setting have no influence at all for this.
It is a matter of:
a) having the GPRS activated (try turning phone on/off to force attach)
b) having the GPRS implemeted by the operator

One of these is likely the problem you have ...

Yes it sound like your account has not been activated. I know with my operator when they activate the GPRS on your account you have to leave your phone switched off for an hour while it activates.
