Error in downloading images (gif) on Nokia 6600 via wap

I am having problem with downloading the wallpapers on nokia 6600. After the image is downloaded I get am error msg "Unable to open image".

The same image though is downloaded without any problems using the pull i.e using the download request sent to my phone as an sms object. The problem occurs only if I try to download using wap directly via surfing.

Problem is that sometimes I am able to download the image whereas othertimes I get the above stated error msg.

MIME type is image/gif while sending the image.
Size of image is also reasonable
