hi i'm trying to get my BT working between my k700i and my PC but its not working

everything is setup and i goto my devices on the phone

then add device (it searches) and finds my PC and when i click it asks for a passcode which i put as 0000 and click ok the phone will then display the adding screen with the bar

after that i get the "bluetooth connection failed, retry" message

as far as i am aware the bluetooth on my PC is working fine, can someone help plz

EDIT:
i tried adding the phone from my PC this time all seemed to be going fine, the phone asked if i wanted to add my PC and asked for the passcode (0000) but then the PC gets an error
"Windows was unable to exchage passkeys with your device

the device has not responded to the passkey exchange"

anyone got any clues whats going wrong?

The same pass code should be entered on both does for pairing. Is there any pass code option on pc? (I could be wrong in what i'm saying.)

i just tried again connecting from PC to phone and when the phone prompt me to enter passcode i did 0000 again and it said passcode mismatch

i bought a TDK bluetooth usb dongle from o2, 30 quid works pucker

Did u try pairing from ur fone or from pc, doubt would make any differnce tho..

yep i tried that already, it didn't work

EDIT

well i've reinstalled my WIDCOMM software, i can goto quick connect and then select the file transfer but when its connecting to the phone the computer makes the noise which tells me that a device has been unpluged and then the noise that the device has been connected. anyone got any ideas?? because after this i need to restart my computer again to make it redetect the BT dongle

Strange man, my BT dongle is from TrendNet and also came with Widcomm software, I had maybe some problems installing the software only, but because of the restarts of the comp and so.
But when I initiate paring with both I type "0000" in both and it works. Maybe itīs a diff. code in the comp? And "0000" for K700, who knows, or viceversa.

Try and just select the "choose a passcode for me"-option, or whatever it's called, and input the passcode the PC gives you into the phone.

I bought 3 of these bona/linden dongles (for me and 2 friends) and on a non xp sp2 work fine, but on mine and my other mates new pcs (both with sp2) just give all the error messages that every one else gets, but for 2 weeks i've been reading threads and trying dozens! of methods suggested, and even reformated my hard drive a few times to start again, without any joy. the individual dongle will send pictures to my t600 (and other phones) but the software/drivers dont work for this SPECIFIC dongle, this is where the problem must be (i had a belkin dongle before wich after pointing it to the right driver worked such a treat my brother took it to sweeden for use with his k700i)

If anyone has this SPECIFIC bona / linden computech usb-bt dongle and got it to work with sp2 i would be most grateful if you could post the answer here. or email me at xorh@o2.co.uk (im going mad trying to sort this :@)

Try using passkey 1234 for both and seehow you get on. Most times 1234 is the default.
