CSD (GSM data) in k700i

I was wondering if anyone has been able to use K700i's CSD (GSM data) for the built-in email client? And also for Java applications that utilize internet access? (WebViewer, cMessenger, etc.)

So far, I've used CSD successfully only for WAP browsing, with a Globe Telecom sim card (Philippines).

The email client allows me to choose CSD as the data bearer but it won't work. Does successful access depend on the nature of the message server?

As for Java apps, WebViewer, cMessenger, and TipicMe work well on my Nokia 7250i over CSD, but not on my K700i.

Hope to hear your comments on this... There are some situations wherein using CSD is cheaper than GPRS.

I have entered internet or data accounts for both CSD and GPRS. In my K700i CSD is often more stable.

What exactly you can do with CSD vs. GPRS depends largely if not solely on what your provider lets you. Mine does not allow me to access pop-mail through GPRS (only WAP browsing with the type of account I have) but through CSD no problem whatsoever. I can use both for WAP. So I have my e-mail set to the csd-account and the rest to GPRS.

Thanks @DeLa! I guess that answers my question about the email client. Good to know that the k7's client is flexible enough. As to Java apps not working via CSD, though, i can't help but be disappointed that K700i seems to be inferior to the 7250i in this respect.
