I have the beauty that is the T68i as my main phone. My work gave me a business line on another SIM but unfortunately I can't put it on the same SIM as that which has my private line. SO, I have to walk around with 2 phones now
My other phone is a Nokia 8850 which is lucky to get taken off the shelf now.
Does anyone know how I can send contacts between the T68i and the Nokia 8850? It would be great if I could find some software that would let me do it en masse
Any help greatly appreciated.

being the techy geek that is at times my alter ego, i did once think of how this could be achieved........then i came to my senses and purchased a 2nd T68.
but seriously, i got as far as syncing my T68 with Outlook then searched for some spftware that would do the same with the data to the Nokia 8850....i gave up at this stage due to the T68's firstname,surname format confusing the issue and also when i exported the 8850 data to Excel there i got errors in displaying and modifying the data in text format.

Sounds like a logical and pretty straight forward solution. The following reservations, however, come to my mind:
- You'd be surprised what I had to go through to get my hands on my T68i - don't know if I'm willing to do that again!
- I'd like my second phone to be different. It has to be small like the T68i or the 8850 but I don't think I'd be too happy with the idea of carrying 2 identical phones around. I already hate the idea of having to walk around with 2 phones in the first place!
- I already have the 8850 (and about 4 other phones on the shelf) so I should really use one of them instead of expanding my collection

do you have lots of contacts on your t68?
if there aint too many, you can try copying from t68 memory to sim card, then move sim card to 8850 and copy the contents of the sim to the 8850's memory.
not an elegant solution, but i hope it works. for you

i felt very similiar to you until i started filling out my phone book. realised whatever phones i had they both had to be in sync with each other.
now i can leave 1 charger at home and the other at work etc.
when 1 battery runs out i just decide which line is more important without having to change sim cards, just swap the battery.
i had an 8850 & 8890 for a short time, before that it was an 8210 paired with the 8850...i sold them while the value was still relatively high and didnt pay alot more to have a 2nd T68 which is more for practical reasons than it is because i wanted 2 the same...at least now if i get a Bluetooth device it can work with both phones.

That makes sense. I guess in my guess the decision making process might be a little bit easier as it will likely be influenced by the fact that I already have a Bluetooth
device and already use it A LOT with my T68i - it's a breeze - makes life so much easier, especially in light of the fact that I, like you, need to have all my contacts in sync as frequently as possible. I guess one other option I have is to sell the 8850 and get a T68 to go with the T68i. That way, I have 2 phones that look different (somewhat) but that have pretty much the same great functionality - including the all-important Bluetooth

no problem, at first i didn't want to let go of my 8850 as it was such a nice phone, but then when i thought about it i was just holding on to technology that was becoming out of date and would soon sit in my drawer full of 'top of the range in their heyday' handsets...some phones are too god for this...they need to be treasured by a new owner so can get on with new tech.
plus, i paid alot for it and wanted a return on my investment, so it went before it became not even worth £50

sold my 8850 for £150 & 8890 for £200 only a few months ago...unboxed but perfect condition.
still got the booklet for the 8850 and a spare new slider which i cant remember why i got at the time.

It's so simple to send the contacts from one phone to another ... Try this
just go to:
1-Phonebook
2-Adavanced
3-Send all
4-Via Infra Red (Don't forget to activate the IR of the nokia phone)
