Do i?,
I have to admit to being slightly clueless- i'm afraid,i have just got the phone and am on a steep learning curve.
What i want to do is unlock my phone using an online service,i thought i needed a cable of some description?
Any advice welcome...

well, you can use a t28 service cable too using a remote log service.
you can get the program here: http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/downloads/Unlock_GOLD_v290.exe
And i have a log you can purchase. All you need is the cheaper t28 cable.

just bought a terminator dongle off ebay,it says it comes with firmware,do you think i will be able to de-brand my p900 as well as unlock with this peice of kit?

Right,here goes:
Bought a terminator dongle off ebay ,i have managed to unlock the phone using the dongle and supplied software with no problems whatsoever.
I couldn't de-brand it though apparently according to the supplier something called 'cruiser' is required to de-brand it,i am unsure wether this is software or hardware??
You can also read/change all codes on the phone including imei code.
If anyone wants the terminator dongle it's yours for £15 including postage-i have had my use out of it.
