Z1010 cannot locate phone with sync cable?

Had this problem. Phone plug in to sync cable, click on my phone icon not responding. Any advice pal?

double click the phone connection monitor on the task bar and check all the boxes to see where the phone is located,and if you are using sp2 unblock the mrouter so that the phone will connect.
