for more than 15 hours many globe customers in QC and other areas had no signal last 29-Nov-2004. The thing that irks me, is that Globe did not even bother to put an apology on leading newspapers, no press con to explain what really happen, and nothing of any sort to compensate its subscribers for the inconvenience that they have caused... and they have sooo many full page add on papers everyday bout their gimicks and sort...
i wonder if there is any lawyer here, and find out if we can file a class suite, or if can petition NTC to do anything about it, i doubt though, since most govt. agencies are inutil!
might as well switch... honk if you feel cheated, coz I am...
DAMN YOU GLOBE! Compensate us! and your engineers sucks! and your officers sucks more!

unfortunately, classs suites wont get you anywhere in this country of ours.
fortunately, there are two more networks to choose from.
i personally think that smart is the best network. especially their retention program wherein 'light users' like me could get handsets at a discounted price. not like G where you've got to be a pretty heavy user to be able to avail of lower handset prices.
just my two cents worth.

that will never happen of course. if compensation for downtime was given, then companies like meralco would be out of business.
if you're not happy with network performance, there are still others to choose from. fortunately for me, i'm on a better network.

but downtime on meralco and others are mostly fortuitous (spelling?) or announced downtime, from what i have heard the globe was a "maintenance thing" that supposed to last only 2 to 3 hours, and unfortunately lasted more than 15 hours, it just shows stupidity and incompetence on globe's part... some airlines compensate you if their flight is delayed more than 24 hours, it happened to me, somehitn should be done as well, at least globe should apologize...

Hmmm.... Think it must be some major fault. If it was easily rectifiable, they would have done it. Else their main switch must have got caught fire.

@steEr: i think you are right with your comment re Smart as the best.
i was in Pagudpod last saturday and globe does not have any signal at all. i have swapped my globe sim yesterday with smart, SMART move for me, did not experienced the no access yesterday.

yeah G sucks big time... their service... their non existent "retention" program.... CSRs are worthless they don't know the simplest thing about their job.
My aunt lost her MMS sending privilege, their reasons
1st nag zero balance daw kasi.. ( edi ba prepaid nga sya)
2nd. kasi daw naka activate yung international roaming (what the hell king of an answer it that)
3rd try it after 24 hours meron na daw... after a week.. my aunt was back in their customer service center
