@freworld... HTC has taken over dopod so all dopod products are HTC branded now...For your needs, you can try Htc touch which comes with 1gb memory card & wifi. The camera is 2mp without autofocus & it runs Windows mobile 6 (no gps). I got it in August for Rs 19900 locked to airtel...i believe unlocked versions are also available now...
Or, you could go for HTC P3300 which has all the features of the touch & has inbuilt gps. It comes with WM 5 but i read somewhere that htc has released a free wm6 upgrade for its e-club members. Price is around 22k i think.

Actually frankly speaking. i hav got so much involved and used to symbain os that i sometimes fear moving to windows mobil os or palm platform.
One mainly thinks about various types of software availability for windows os??
then, abt whether those application will work properly or as per requirement.
then, ONE OF the main thing , WHETHER their gprs , bt etc will be able to be tweaked etc etc as i dont knw abt them.
MAy be some bdy who has dealt closely with symbian and windows mobile os will be able to tell it better.
may be masseur?
And as far as SE world is concerned similar software availability haunts me,,
can someone elaborate on tat as i hav seen many software apps not working on se ( they hav even different format of files and sis dont work on thm , may be uiq stuff ) and even some Java apps. !!

@freworld...software availability will not be a problem as there are a plethora of applications available for windows mobile pocket pcs-both paid & freeware...java applications are also supported...i couldn't understand what u meant by 'tweaking gprs & bt'...but they seem to work pretty ok... & so does push email over activesync using exchange server...the processor is a tad slow @ 200mhz but is ok for everyday use...it can be overclocked if required...

Sometimes IndiaGSM is ahead and sometimes Univercell... But I prefer IndiaGSM's prices as they are more accurate whereas Univercell has inflated prices cause they are selling phones as well, so to make more profit...

Don't buy a P990...this sincere advice is from a P990 user.
Its so bad phone that SE wants to sell the remaining inventory for dirt price...it may cost around 10k now.
P990 was the worst phone ever made by SE.Buy anything else for the money.
Btw,W910 price now is Rs 16,600
