Hey all. Yesterday I was browsing thru a mag and saw a add for a flash attachment to be used with the T630, was wondering how much it was seperately also, does it improve the pic quality any info guys drop me a reply thanx ;-)

@miss u mean the mpf10 for night pix? Its nice, but doesnt worth imo. U can use it as a torch and blinks sos light in morse style.

@missuk

It's available for a tenner from CPW, if you can find one that has any, so probably worth getting one just to try it.

Doesn't have much effect as it's not an actual flash, just a light that has the effect of making the subject of your photo brighter, but a little fun, nonetheless.

Boba. Im unsure what the model number is in the mag it says its a Photo light attachment ;-) dave-uk thanx i'll query it at cpw since the add ive seen, there the place to get it from free on a new contract

CPW and the Orange shop both have the MPF-10 phone flash in stock atm in my area. Had one a while back when I was using my T610 and T630. They are ok if your doing close up pics but as Bobba says they're better used as a torch. The strobe option is good as well but I dont think the SOS option would be useful in some places.

Hmm so u rec it aint worth the hassle then staz! :-)

i assume its not compatible with the p800?

Posted by dave_uk
To assume is to make an ass out of u and me

It is compatible, it's just a light so no real software compatibility required. Only difference is you can't take pictures using the button on the flash, you have to use the phone.

Is the connections on the p8 and different to a t6? Try it :-)

Posted by BobaFett
it worked fine on r520, t39, t28 etc aswell.

@daveuk

@all
im gonna get a new toy tomorrow then

Posted by dave_uk
true but it's friday so who cares?!

I have a PF-10 and only have some effect on close up pics, for normal ones is just worthless.

Posted by BobaFett
@asterix what effects?

Posted by gbrooks3
@boba
i think he means the effect of the light on the picture, i.e. its rubbish.

Posted by BobaFett
Oh, my mistake, he ment the verb "effect". Indeed, its low quality. Sadly.

Boba you were right it's the
Sony-Ericsson MPF-10 Flash Attachment

the photo is a pic if it

Posted by BobaFett
@miss got u. Actually the idea is good, but not for this cam.

Posted by Miss UK
Yep im not bothering with it waste of money by the looks of it

Posted by BobaFett
@miss do u use the cam often?

Posted by Miss UK
No not really! I don't have MMS ability..

I use the camera to take pic's and BT them to the pc tho

i just tried my mpf10 flash with my s700i and i noticed that the mpf shows a better kind of white/fluoroscent light rather than the s700i's. its a known fact that the mpf is alot brighter since it has more leds than the s700, though id prefer having the mpf falsh color to my s700 than the one thats built in.
here are some sample pics:

with the s700i flash(only)

with the s700i flash and mpf10 flash

with the s700i flash alone

with the mpf10 flash alone

I bought the flash because I got a great deal on it (about US$17.00), is useful in some situations and it's compatible with a wide range of SE phones.

S700 has far better resolution than T6XX, so here some tests with my T610 and the MPF-10:

Low light without the flash

Low light with the flash

Very low light without flash

Very low light with flash

No light without flash

No light with flash
