Dat would depend, but d phones with d most capable Web browsers include: SE p800/900/910, & nokia 9210i,9300,9500. Sorry,I have no about what d s700i can do. :)

defenitely the p series.....

probably nokia 9500 and 9300 woul do the best job because of the screen size, but all the symbians would do the job pretty accurate, both with in-built browser and Opera.

Netfront is also a good web browser for symbian phones. For java phones there is a browser, WebWiever, but it's not that advanced as symbian's browsers

my p800 is good, but the screen cannot hold all the page so it gets a pain having to scroll sideways etc. - but it was incredibly fast.
how are blackberrys? are they good phones?

Nokia 9500 will be the best i think so.

I'd vote for the SE Pxxx series.

P800/P900/P910.

blackberries are very good in displaying internet pages, but it could not display frames. So sometimes page is displayed anyway, most time not, just an error: your browser does not support frames.

apart from the se p9xxs, the hp 6315,hp 6415, the imate, xdaII are some phones.
but they have pretty similar capabilities.

Definitely the Nokia 9500 Communicator - no doubt!

has anyone who is saying Nokia 9500 actually tried the phone?
I haven't so I cannot comment but I can say that so far, pocket internet explorer on pocketpcs is far superior to any other browser I have seen and used on a phone device and so my choice would be a device that uses pocketpc (windows mobile) and since I prefer iPAQs I would choose the iPAQ 6000 series without question

not tried a 9500 but it was great on a 9210i - it was just a tad expensive on HSCSD

Works fine on the SPV C500, and older SPV's with pocket internet explorer (can't display frames) and Opera (no problems with frames) for windows Mobile devices.

1 factor I consider vital is navigation system. In my opinion, devices with touchscreen & stylus have greater ease of use. That is one major disadvantage d nokia communicator series have.

I see what you mean about stylus based systems - but have you ever used a communicator ( 9210 onwards )?
I thought it would be horrible -having to tab through everthing - but you actually use like a mouse pointer which is operated by the cursor rocker key - and you get surprisingly used to it - Personally I prefered it to the P800 for browsing but got sick of the lack of GPRS
communicators are like Buses - wait for Bloody ages for one - then just as you give up on them 2 arrive at once

P series with opera

What about motorola mpx? Got pocket ie, qwerty key pad and touch screen!

Does anyone rate the XDA /XDA II ? just wondered because for a device that seems so good on paper , I rarely see people talking about it on forums & such - or is that more price related ?

I have had a 9210i communicator before and did not enjoy using it to browse the web. I have owned all 3 P series phones and have to say that my P910i with Opera Browser is top notch, no scrolling across the screen etc and I have no complaints for my use it is perfect, I would totally reccomend it to anyone, best of luck.

I'm posting this from a P900 with opera on it- it was a bit tricky to set up but definately worth it!
Very quick, the best mobile solution for browsing the web from a mobile device so far imo!

what about series60 phones, is it possible to get an app to veiw html?
Posted by DSF
milmino i've already said that if u have a series60 u can browse html sites with Opera, NetFront or Doris Browser.. however on the old series60 phones (7650, 36*0) u get 'low memory' errors (because of RAM memory) on big sites quite often..

@miffed.d xda issue might be as u suggested: price related. but who knows?

Hmmmm . . . I guess we just have very opposing choice of preference here mate

I find that my N7610 with NetFront does pretty much all WEB sites with little or no problem.
Some sites with a lot of frames sometimes look a bit wierd but still useable.
The various formatting options with NetFront are really useful.

@JN. I've been eyeing the 9500 though

Hi, just read the previous post, I think you are right, the P series are perfect, whereas I found the 9210 slow and with no GPRS it was very very slow. A good device but not as easy to use out of the box as a P series phone, I think it is ideal for business, whereas the P series phones are aimed at both business and consumer users. That aside I still think the P series phones with Opera put all communicators in the shade, but whatever floats your boat as they say ! I hope you get the phone that fits your needs, I know I have.

@aya - Yeah, that is just what I am missing with my 9210i now mate, also with the camera features
P800 is nice too, but what I want is something to having the LAPTOP effect and TOUCH as well, and the Nokia 9 series Communicator just fits it . . .The 9500 series both have the GPRS/MMS/Wi-Fi features now dude!
@masseur - I was just basing my BEST judgement with the 9500's specs as seen on the Nokia website mate

JN you are great, I love your posts. You make me chuckle. I must admit that the 9500 is a nice looking machine and does fit the laptop type image, but I shall never forget how many people laughed at the size and shape of my 9210, my friends called it my "Housebrick" & "Breezeblock" life support machine. Nobody laughs at my 910i, except when I show them "The Annoying Thing" Video clip, which I may post elsewhere as it is a killer side splitter. Go on get the 910i, you know you want one !

The P series of course. Great browsers available and large screen with high resolution.
