K700 can handle xhtml sites, but also some html ones. With the symbian uiq phones (P series) you can browse full internet with Opera or NetFront.

The local network has a GPRS WAP and GPRS Web connection.... will I be able to view internet sites from K700?

The time it took to start this thread would have been better spent trying to see if it can view html sites don't you think?

I do not own a K700i. I have a T610 which I want to upgrade and thought of checking this feature of K700i before deciding.

The answer is that the K700 supports chtml. It can load some sites but not all. On tuesday i could load drudgereport.com and the ohio and florida state election sites. I cannot load the yahoo home page

where can one get web viewer????????? paid??

Is it any other html viewer for JAVA platform? It`s clear already that Web Viewer can`t be found in registered mode witout paying 20 $ Can I find somebody here who can help? :|

While 2 a certain extent it depends on d provider, d phone itself must have a capable browser. If u have a GPRS WAP &web subscrptn,u can access both WAP & web pages IF your phone's browser can handle both.D p800/p900/p910 are phones with built in WAP/web browsers. They handle both well.Neva tried a k700 yet.

K700i can browse only in WAP, but when you put on it Web viewer it works perfectly browsing in WWW, but my problem is that this web viewer was a trial version, but i think everyone knows that.

@bakker: Try this link for download of 2 other generic HTML viewers: http://midlet.org/wap/category.jsp?pid=7&parentLevel=224&r=1099766921381#MIDlets .Dont know if they are demo or full version though.

K700i has a html browser but it opens only a few www pages
Posted by DSF
BakkeR K700i has a WAP 2.0 browser, a XHTML one and not HTML.
Posted by OluYom
@bakkerr & DSF: That expains why it can only "display few WWW pages". Many web pages are now coded to xhtml standards;as such xhtml WAP browsers can access them. Get a 3rd party HTML viewer if u want 2 view a wider range of web pages.

I found that I lookin for - Web Viewer(full).

@bakker: Glad 4 u. Lets know how well it goes
