Problem with S700 SMS - Esato archive

Hi, I recently bought an S700 from vodafone. It works fine appart from the fact that if I want to send an SMS it goes a bit weird. If I write a SMS and search for the persons number to whom I'm sending it always goes "Message sending failed" when I try to send it. This problem doesnt happen if I reply straight away to someones message. I have noticed that if after a failed sending attempt I go into drafts then choose the message, go into advanced and choose "done" and then send it works. However if I go from a newly written message to advanced it crashes! I have spoken to the people at vodafone and they dont know what to do about this. Its not phone specific problem as i have seen it happen on another s700. Anyone know what I can do to sort this out?

Did u download games, apps etc in the last time? Such ones with a bug could cause faulties in fw.

I have downloaded games since discovering the problem. I noticed this problem when I first used the phone, fresh from the box.
